Local brewing company with selections for every season. The cool part? The owner's in-laws live just a few doors down from us on Lost Lake. :) Take home a growler for yourself! They're all pretty amazing.

Let's face it - people come to this area for Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore or snowmobiling, or both! This is a great summertime tour of the lakesure, which now also offers sunset cruises and a pirate ship cruise for kids. Check 'em out on the web!

Palms Book State Park is definitely worth the 45-mile drive south, near Indian Lake. More 45s? It's a 45-foot deep spring with crystal clear water, home of some monster trout, where the water temp remains 45 degrees year round.

So many waterfalls to see in this area - here's one close to Lost Lake, just south of Munising. A short walk to the falls from the parking area.

While this is the only waterfall located on private property, it's well worth the few bucks' admission fee to view this scenic place. Besides the waterfall, their park/garden area is a nice place to relax and have a picnic lunch; watch and feed the ducks in the pond; or count how many garden gnomes are hidden on the property. They also have a super cute gift shop. Need more firewood? They have bundles for sale here, too.

Located right on US-2, the town of Manistique is right on the way for some of our visitors to the lake. Want to get your groceries en route to the cottage? Jack's is sometimes less busy than Munising, with good prices and lots of variety. A nice place for road-trippers to get out and stretch their legs (and perhaps check out the lighthouse which is practically right across the street).
