Drinks & Nightlife

One of the coolest cocktail bars in Logan Square. The drink list is something to be admired and their Moscow mule is superb! The vibe is casual and chill, and the menu is impressive with many different type of liquors and beers. They even have their own ginger beer on tap and shots of bitters. The back patio is spacious and a perfect fit for a summer day.

Rosa's Lounge operates in the hallowed tradition of Chicago blues lounges, family owned and operated. This may be one of the best places in the Chicago to listen to great blues. The venue is great and the bartenders are on point. There is no food, only good drinks and great blues! There is a fee to enter.... but it will probably be well worth it! People from all over the world have been here to listen great Chicago blues.

Scofflaw is a gin-focused cocktail bar. A rebellious mix of the baroque and affordable, Scofflaw brings together a diverse array of drinkers for beautifully crafted cocktails, craft beer and small plates that go well beyond “bar food.” Whether enjoying dinner and cocktails in the Victorian-style salon, grabbing a barstool for a shot and a beer or brunching on the patio, you’ll be treated to warm service and a familiar fun vibe—not to mention fresh baked cookies at midnight.

After years away from a professional kitchen, Jason Vincent, one of Chicago’s most beloved chefs, returned with his first restaurant that’s tiny in size but massive in flavor. Focusing only on delicious recognizable food that’s sneakily complicated, great service and drinks, and a relaxed come-as-you-are atmosphere. The pastas, crab and waffle fries, and fried uni shooter are staples; and make reservations well in advance — the small restaurant is jammed on a nightly basis.

One of the spots responsible for kickstarting Chicago’s pie boom, Bang Bang is about much more than pies these days. Yes, the pies are the stars — such as the signature key lime or any of the other daily varieties — but the relaxed counter-service spot also serves standout biscuits, other delicious savory dishes and an underrated weekend brunch. Take an Instagram-perfect slice, coffee, or anything on the menu to the adorable swing set-adorned outdoor space in the warmer months.

Humboldt Park was once the nation’s greatest public park, boasting acres of Prairie-style gardens, grazing animals and a meandering river scene. Though the animals are long gone, the park still offers extensive rose beds as well as tennis courts, an inland beach, baseball fields and bike paths.
