Disneyland is about an hour and fifteen minutes away. We like to go over for an afternoon/evening of (mostly) free fun at Disney Springs - what used to be Downtown Disney. There is free parking, boat rides on the lake, live music and lots of shops and restaurants.

When it is cold the manatees come into the canal by DeSoto park in Satellite Beach. You can see one to over a hundred of them. Take A1A north to Desoto Parkway and turn left. Park in the lot just after the fall fields on your left. The canal is between the parking lot and the houses to the west.

Kayak or canoe in the river estuaries. We went on a day when it was too windy and rough so we took a boat across the river and back, seeing all sorts of birds and dolphins. Fun and interesting trip.
