Modern and gourmet Cajun food. I have always liked this place and it is beautiful. Food and service are best when they are not tired/overloaded, e.g. after the long Saturday breakfast.

I have not yet been here but my guests urge me to go. Not on this map, but related, is Creole Glenda's, 3232 Main Hwy, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517-6427, very well reviewed.

I like the sushi here, and the atmosphere. It is more crowded and more expensive than some sushi restaurants in town, but it is worth it and there is good udon at lunch.

This place has very good plate lunches if you get there before they run out - and is very nearby, very local, and has other groceries.

This is a real cypress lake nearby and very beautiful. You can go on swamp tours (I recommend Norbert Leblanc) or borrow my one seater kayak if you are brave.

Run on a nice track under oaks hung with Spanish moss, feed the ducks, sit on the grass, stroll. This is the location of Festivals Acadiens in the fall.
