A proper piece of meat or the famous Tartare (that is raw meet). Tip: Take it extra spicy. They actually do it. :) You need to book a table, very rarely you get one otherwise.

You can go there by post bus (the yellow ones). Book a table close to the window or in summer on the terrace. You can see the mountains (far away) and it's a typical Bernese countryside.

One of my favourite place for Spa. It's mixed, except Tuesday (only women). Monday is the day of silence. You hear the water, Arabic music... They also offer massage. Check out hammam-bern.ch

That is Berne's zoo. Nicly situated close to the river. It's small compared to other zoos but especially the part you have to pay for it worth going. Otherwise a nise area for a walk too.

On this bridge there you HAVE to take a pic of the mountains. Required: Good weather, the one which triggers headache and is called Föhn. (You might not have headache. Not everybody is prone to it.)

Both sides of the river are a fantastic area for jogging or walking. And also close to my place. It's another quality I love the area of the Länggasse for. Close to EVERYTHING. ;)

Good place for small and big kids with water slides and lot's of other things. For adultes: Wonderful sauna for ladies (only) and a huge sauna zone (mixed) with relaxation zone on the roof. Love it!

A walk up to the Gurten, out of the city is a pleasure... you might have a good view it's good weather. You also find a self service restaurant there (and a normal one) with reasonable prices.

Climb the tower and have the perfect view over Berne! Not for people who suffer from vertigo. Myself I tremble non stop walking up there. But inside it's nice too!

Pick a day with good weather and vist on of the most famous places (not cheap though). You might lose your heart to the Berner Oberland, be careful!
