Delicious food! Gastropub style, the indoor seating area is rather small and warm in the summer (no air-conditioning?); however, they have a deck with lovely views and the food does not disappoint!!

If you just don't feel like cooking but don't want to travel too far for a restaurant, Vittles is probably the closest. This is a take-out style dinner. The atmosphere could be improved, but the food is good if you are looking for simple fair! Our favourites include the club sandwich, vittles western, and certainly the milkshakes!! Beware that this place can be booming at times (lots of cottagers and New Ross locals enjoy Vittles!), and the service can be slow (we often call ahead to place our order :) )

This spot is famous to the locals for their burgers and their ice-cream! If you plan to go to the zoo, stop here for a treat before heading back to the cottage :) (Small eat-in area but largely takeout)

If you are in Wolfville, I highly recommend this little crepe bistro famous to the locals! They are all popular, but favourites in our house include "Hangover Cure," "The Mexican," and "Fruit Medley."

This is an easy hike (we did it with our 2 year old), with some interesting caves and breathtaking views! There is also a public pool onsite, so feel free to take your bathing suit :)

This is a cool take on a museum! If you have little ones I definitely recommend it! They can make a small craft in the old school house, sample a baked good in the old farm house, visit the farm animals, and take a horse-and-wagon ride :)
