The Rolling Stones ate here when they played in Halifax! It's pretty expensive, but a beautiful view of the harbour and all ingredients are sourced locally and organic where possible.

Gluten-free fish and chips!! The girls that own this place serve fish caught by their father on the South Shore. Can also get fish to-go, to cook later. And they sell Sweet Williams Sausage, which are the best our city has to offer!

By far THE best place to get brunch in Halifax. It is SUPER tiny, though. So go a few mins before it opens to be sure to get a seat. It's worth the wait, though! Huevos rancheros are a fave.

Best coffee!!! You can also by whole beans (that they roast out back) and grind it fresh at our place. This family has been in the business for at least three generations in Halifax. All the locals hang out here. This is where we buy our coffee for home.

About 40 mins from our house. Climb the rocks, see the light house, have a locally made ice cream at Dee Dee's and a lobster roll too. Delicious ginger bread at the restaurant. Nicer to visit off season when it is less crowded, for sure.

Go on a winery tour, check out Cape Blomidon, stroll Main Street, visit the quaint neighbouring towns. We can give you lots of other recommendations. Also - an awesome "eagle watch" in the winter time. And, you can even go mud sliding on the dykes!
