My most favorite: a small village in the Alps - it is unique for their minerals and fauna and fora - 3 hours by care from Thalwil but in combination with a visit of the Swiss alps you can do it.

The capital of Switzerland - a very nice old town with arcades. Don't miss the Zyytglogge tower and the cathedral (you can mount the tower).
