We love it because its a very pleasant (looks onto nicely landscaped garden/water) end to a cycle ride or walk to/from the Danish Camp, where they rent cycles.

You can purchase really cheap day tickets from the Bedford Tourist service at the Bedford BUS station. We enjoy taking the train from Bedford to Blackfriars London station and walking along the South Bank to ... where ever! A nice little explore London then perhaps SeaLife, the London Eye etc. We like to finishat Gabriel's Wharf for a meal at The Gourmet Pizza Co before heading home.

Sightseeing
We love National Trust properties for walks in beautiful gardens and picnics, cafes and fun shops. We bring a ball for the kids during the walk and a game for cafe time. Have been going to this and other since our girls were small.

Another National Trust day out we'd recommend - love the farm and there is a fab play area for the kids as well as the beautiful garden, pleasant cafe and fun shop.

Entertainment & Activities
Woburn Safari Park is always a hit with children, young and old (anyone who enjoys animals). We particularly love driving through the money enclosure where you're likely to have one grab a ride. It's located near a lovely market town with plenty of walks on public footpaths in the vicinity - we often go that way just for a walk and pass the bear enclosure without going inside the safari park.

We Love it - a log cabin casual restaurant on the bank of the River Ouse as well as a converted rail trail. There is a large garden and picnic tables. They rent cycles and boats and offer boat rides - all good. Still, it's worth a trip just for a coffee and cake or a meal. Closed Mondays - but the Willington Frosts garden Centre has a very nice restaurant if you forgot and took your own cycled over or drove there to walk the trail.

A bit of local history - but actually, Olney is such a lovely market town, we enjoy just poodling about in its charity and boutiquey shops, finishing in one of it's cafes. There is a nice walk from Clifton Reynes to Olney we like to do with the kids - finishing at the Courtyard Brasserie in Rose Court.
