Lymington is busy harbour town, the pier is pretty and worth a visit. The famous Royal Lymington Yacht Club is a 10 minute walk further along the river.

Hurst Castle is located at the end of Hurst Spit, which is about a 40 minute walk from Keyhaven. You have to pay to go in, there is quite good museum with story of Hurst from Napoleonic Wars through to WW2, and a cafe - cash only. There is a ferry to bring you back if the walk too far. Its very pretty with great views of the Isle of Wight.
