The local market is definitely worth a glimpse, it's chaotic little market stands where you can get almost everything. The market is open everyday except holidays around and in the old Market hall.

You want a Toña or a Victoria (national beer) this place is the best with the best attention and if you mix with a hamburger much better, if you want to try something typical Nicaraguan orders a michela, of the national beer of your preference, I call it the mimosa nica, it has nothing to do with a mimosa but if you like the spicy and refresh yourself of the unique warmth, this will help you a lot.
