Churchill Island is a small island off Phillip Island, the whole island was one of the original farms in the area. The homestead has been restored and the farm stocked with animals and is a lovely place to visit. They often have activates for children, such as milking, shearing, etc. as well as baby animals to pat. There is also a walking track around the outside of the island, it's a lovely easy walk that takes an hour or so, and has great views out over the bay and is free of charge if you prefer not to pay to go into the farm itself. There is a cafe where you can sit and have coffee or lunch and take in the beautiful views over the paddocks to the sea. The island closes around 5pm each day so go earlier in the day.

If you'd like to see koalas up close and learn about them, this is worth a visit. There is an educational display inside the centre, and a boardwalk through the gum trees where there are always koalas to be seen. You can also walk through the bushland and see if you can discover any other koalas hiding up in the branches of the gum trees.

Located at the very tip of the Summerlands Peninsula on Phillip Island, the Nobbies is one of my favourite places on the island. The Nobbies are large rocky outcrops just off the coast where the seabirds like to breed. Also home to Seal Rocks, with a huge colony of Australia Fur Seals, which you can view through binoculars or take a boat out to see them close up. You can park the car at the Nobbies Centre and walk along the wooden boardwalk to a blowhole at the far end. The views out over Bass Strait and along the rocky coast of Phillip Island are stunning. There is a cafe at the Nobbies Centre, as well as a shop and interpretative centre.

Pelican Feeding on the beach near the fisherman's wharf in San Remo, every day at 12 noon. Free of charge. Watch these beautiful big black and white birds with the enormous bill come in every day for lunch on the beach. You might also spot a stingray in the shallow water. There is a children's playground close by, in a lovely grassy area, and lots of coffee shops and cafes.

Not only is Cape Woolamai a world renowned surf beach, it also boasts the Cape Woolamai State Faunal Reserve with walking tracks out to the headland. Each spring the Short-tailed Shearwaters arrive on their summer breeding pilgrimage. Over 350,000 burrows are to be found on the tip of Cape Woolamai. This is the largest shearwater colony on Phillip Island and one of the largest in south eastern Australia. It is quite a spectacle at dusk each day between approx. September to April, to watch the shearwaters fly home to their burrows after a day of fishing at sea. The Woolamai Surf beach is also great for just a walk along the golden sands, taking in the peace and quiet and sea views. It is often almost deserted outside peak holiday times.
