Rent a bike at Ocean Beach Hardware - however note there is no bike riding within Ocean Beach on the weekends between the 4th of July and Labor Day. You can ride the bike from the Ocean Beach border to Ocean Bay Park.

Park at the Bay Shore train station (at your own risk) as a cheaper option vs parking at the Fire Island ferry terminal.
Note that taking the train to the Bay Shore LIRR train station is recommended since there is no driving on Fire Island. Hop on the bus for a ride from the train to the boat for $5.
