Sightseeing

Only in Hobart can you reach the edge of a World Heritage Wilderness in 25 minutes are by jumping in your car. On a clear day you can see to the Tasman Peninsula and way out to the Western Arthurs mountain ranges. Great city views too, try going just before sunset for the best photos. Beware; it's 10 degrees colder up there and windy - yes it really is a mountain! Smart lookout shelter to escape the wind with 270 degree views. If you like walking, there are dozens of spectacular tracks, safely marked and well managed, of varying grades from short and easy to full day walks for seasoned walkers with good boots and warm gear.
