Really good coffee and if you are in the Afton area it is one of the only legit coffee shops that roast their own beans. It is in the community building. Drive to the left side of the building and park. Follow signs to the coffee shop. The walk will be worth it!

Mint Springs is about a 5 minute drive from The Barn. It has wooded trails for hiking and a public beach access to the lake in the summer months. Quiet fishing spot too!

20 minutes east of Crozet on the edge of Charlottesville is Ragged Mountain Reservoir. It has a 5.5 miles trail to hike around the Reservoir and great fishing spots. Non-motorized boats, paddle boards are welcome.

Ragged Mountain Natural Area
1730 Reservoir Rd20 minutes east of Crozet on the edge of Charlottesville is Ragged Mountain Reservoir. It has a 5.5 miles trail to hike around the Reservoir and great fishing spots. Non-motorized boats, paddle boards are welcome.
Great place to put out a blanket and have an outdoor picnic. There is a boat launch area by the parking lot for non-motorized boats and paddle boards. Not a reservoir for actively swimming.
