There is a gorgeous courtyard where you can sit out in little beach huts whatever the weather and Andy makes the best coffee on the Norfolk coast. Also don’t miss their white chocolate blondes 🙂

It is the sister pub to the highly acclaimed Gunton Arms and is owned by a celebrity art dealer who spent seven years beautifully restoring it. It is full of thought provoking art and reclaimed pieces. The Mediterranean menu includes lots of delicious tapas dishes and there is a cosy upstairs cocktail bar.
Early booking is essential as it’s really popular. Very dog friendly.

Wiverton cafe is an absolute must visit, it is so quirky and has the most spectacular views over the salt marshes. The food is delicious and you might even meet Desmond the owner who became a bit of a star when the place had a tv series made about it.

Norfolk Alpacas is based a 5 minute walk from Nutshell. You can book to walk round the surrounding countryside with the gorgeous Alpacas then enjoy afternoon tea amongst them. This small friendly business is run by Gayle who is super knowledgeable about Alpacas and really goes out of her way to make sure everyone has a very special few hours with her animals.

Herbert Woods is the perfect place to hire a day boat to explore the Norfolk Broads. It is situated less than half an hour from Nutshell and has ample parking. The electric day boats are super easy to drive and you can also take dogs on them. Pottering about on the Broads is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
