You can't come to visit Medellin without taking a stroll around the center of the "Zona Rosa", or night life area. There's tons of mainstream shops, restaurants and bars here.

This is hands down my favorite place to eat in the city. The food is great, but it's so nice to sit inside the Botanical Gardens and eat the produce grown right outside.

One of the few restaurants in Poblado to offer Mediterranean food, this one with it's own wood fired oven to make piping hot Arab bread. Belly dancers appear on Friday and Saturday! Also deliver.

Fantastic little place, steeped in history which is written in signatures and quotes all over the walls from famous Colombians. Just three menu options and all of them delicious traditional meals.

This is the nearest get on/off point for the local Turibus tour bus service. It's also the best place to come and see the eclectic mix of people congregate at night to drink cheap beers and relax.

The gardens themselves are nice, but nothing compared to other bigger cities, however it's great for a Sunday picnic and I highly recommend the restaurant and the orchid display.

This is a really cool castle in the middle of the city. You wouldn't even notice it going by so it's a real surprise. Amazing gardens and a great break from the usual sightseeing trips.

It’s over the top, but in a fun way. Totally Colombian. In the case of Dulce Jesus Mio, the club is meant to be a caricature of a traditional Antioquian pueblo. Expect craziness to ensue.
