Rockland Lake State Park is a great place with a kids-friendly playground, a pleasant hike, and a clear view of the Rockland Lake. It has a BBQ area for family picnics or social gatherings. If you would like to do a short hike with a decent view, go to the entrance that leads to the golf course. Park at the golf course and find the yellow markings on the tree. It has a BBQ area for family picnics or social gatherings. If you would like to do a short hike with a decent view, go to the entrance that leads to the golf course. Buttermilk Falls County Park is a medium sized park perfectly suited for hiking. Follow the 1 Mile Blue Trail leading from the north end of the parking lot to a small waterfall and then up to a peak with a view of Rockland County. The park also features a small waterfall.
