Longford Park is a 5 minute walk from our house. It is perfect if you enjoy running or going for a walk. It is very big with lots of quiet and scenic spots - perfect for a picnic. There is also a community run café in the centre which you can go to for breakfast or brunch. On Saturday mornings at 9am there is a Park Run which attracts lots of local runners.

The Trafford Centre is open from 10am to 10pm. It is the biggest shopping mall in Manchester and houses all the main shopping brands. It also has lots of bars and restaurants, a cinema, an aquarium and Legoland.

Unicorn is an organic and fair-trade focused supermarket less than 5 minutes walk from our house. It is very popular with locals. It's open most days except Monday. It has a popular deli counter and lots of locally produced fruit and vegetables. It is vegan so no bacon and cheese here!

It's just lovely in here. Fabulous staff, excellent food and a great atmosphere. They're particularly good with groups but it also has a nice romantic feel if there's just two of you. We are regulars and often take family and friends here.
