Iconic ocean pool made by convicts in 1820 for the personal use of The Bogey Hole was constructed by order of Commandant Morisset. It was known, originally as the "Commandants Baths". The name "Bogey Hole" was applied afterwards and comes from the i indigenous word meaning "to bathe".
