Nathaniel Hawthorne worked there when he wrote The Scarlet Letter. In fact the prologue is all about his slacker co-workers. I recommend reading the prologue before taking the tour.

One of the oldest recreational areas in the country. The best popcorn from Hobb's, seafood, ice cream, pizza, chinese food and lots of other fast food. A local favorite is a Chop Suey Sandwich from Salem Lowe. You'll either love it or hate it. Games, arcades and kiddie rides. A pier, two small beaches and picnic areas.
