Cornwall Park is on our doorstep and a beautiful spot to visit. Great walks (or runs), lovely panoramic views from the top of One Tree Hill and a couple of nice places to eat.

Just across the harbour is the lovely Ambury Park. Great walks, bird watching (Godwits if you're interested) and a cute farm for the kids or big kids!

Beautiful sandy beach, close to the city and safe swimming for all. Great spot for a beer but food better around at the next bay (Kohimarama) as a bit touristy and expensive. Worth the walk around to next bay. Busy in summer.
