This is one of our favourite places to have a drink in Northcote. It's also one of Melbourne’s oldest and prettiest pubs, housed in a former church. Cool beer garden out the back as well.

The oldest and most visited Australian Art Gallery should not be missed. Currently hosting Triennial which features the work of over 100 artists and designers from 32 countries. It's a free exhibition on until April 2018.

You can start on the Merri Creek Trail anywhere along the way. The trail is easy to follow - just follow the creek - you really cannot get lost. It goes through many of the northern suburbs including Northcote, Fitzroy, Brunswick and Coburg.

When the sun is out people flock to "Eddie Gardens" Grab a picnic or get lunch from one of the food trucks on the weekends. Very much a hangout spot for those in Fitzroy and surrouding areas.
