Thai and Viet fusion place. It's cheap, delicious, and did I mention CHEAP? Interesting twists on Banh Mi sandwiches, and try their kimchi or tofu fries - they are amazing (if you're a vegetarian like me).

If you like organic, all natural, grass fed, free range, ya know hippie dippy stuff for your food, go here! The burgers are quite good and you can get some exotic meats like elk, bison, wild boar - if you're interested in that stuff. There's gluten free and vegan options as well. Also, the milk shakes are amazing. If you get the Sick Kids milkshake, $1 goes towards the Sick Kids foundation and you can get some pretty cool flavours. Also, brunch is pretty good here on weekends!

Honestly, the food here is mediocre. But the decor is SUPER cool, very retro diner! And it's really cheap (for all day breakfast anyways). You get huge portions. Also, did I mention it's open 24 hours a day? So if you want some food, you can get it here any time you want.

It's got ridiculously good All You Can Eat Sushi. Go for lunch, the menu is big, but if you're looking for a 25/person dinner, the selection is enormous and amazing. Seriously. The quality of this sushi place is insane. It's still AYCE but it's better than your typical fare.

This is like just mediocre sushi but it's SUPER cheap AYCE. Let's be honest, it's maybe not even mediocre. But it's clean and cheap. It's 12.99 for lunch (which is till 4 pm) every day. Not a lot of selection, but if you just want to stuff your face with spicy salmon rolls, this is the place.

It's a Thai place. The noodles (vouching for the Pad Thai and the Kari noodles) here are pretty good. The authenticity of the place is questionable, but if you order (even for takeout) the portion sizes are huge for the prices! Also, if you like spicy food, this is the place to go! Your food can be RIDICULOUSLY spicy if you ask for it.

It's awesome - the food here is pretty good. It's definitely not a budget friendly place BUT the patio is amazing! It's right by the lakeshore and man, somedays, the lineup for that is crazy. Also, they're open super late! You can get here by taking the subway to union and then the streetcar, it'll take you right by there. The place is massive, so if you want to bring like 30 of your closest friends, that's a SMALL party to them. All the food is really great there - it's all delicious - but my favourites include the cheddar dip and the pretzel. The burgers are fantastic, salads are to die for, pizza is fantastic... If you happen to go, ask if Ammar is serving! He's a friend of mine and he's super awesome. Amsterdam is a really big name in Canadian craft beer so all the food here is beer inspired. Try a pint of the Boneshaker if you like hops, or the Blonde if you want something light. Otherwise, you can get a sampler. But there's some really awesome beers to be had here, not just from Amsterdam Brewery! It's definitely a touristy destination. You can take a tour of the in house brewery (beer is actually brewed there!)

This is an AYCE indian place. The food is alright. But it's SUPER CHEAP!!!!! It's 11.99 for lunch and like 15.99 I think for dinner. They'll bring fresh made naan right to your table! Also, the patio is nice in the summer.

It's a small takeaway shop that serves indian food. It's relatively cheap and delicious! Small family run place, they're such nice people. Get the Thali because you get rice and naan!

No sit down, it's kind of in a sketchyish area late at night but trust me, you won't be bothered there. If you're not comfortable, don't walk there but I always feel perfectly safe. It's inexpensive, it's gluttonous, and it's cheesy, gravy and fries with some fancy toppings. There's also vegetarian gravy! If you want a late night snack (open till like 4 am some nights) this is the Toronto drunk food to get.

If you're a vegetarian/vegan or just freaking love salads and meat free options that are actually delicious - go here! There's another "real" location that isn't in the Eaton Centre cafeteria, but the food is really good. Get a salad, a curry (mmm, they're so good!), or a sandwich (I love the sesame tempeh). Totally worth it. The location is just convenient. Guilt free food!

This is where I order pizza from. I feel like the quality is going down but if you order online, you get a discount and it's free delivery. It's cheap for what you get (especially if you check out the classic pizza options!) and significantly better than Pizza Pizza. They're open till 5 am so if you want a pizza at 3 am just because, this is where you order from.

You want to know what the buzz is? People line up here like months after opening for this cheesecake. It's good but I hate waiting in line. Just check it out for the sake of checking it out. And go to the Matcha cafe next door. And maybe try the new Angel Maid Cafe while you're at it, it's just down the block past the Tsujiri which people wait in line for as well. Welcome to the city's "Little Japan".

If you like craft beer, go check out how Steam Whistle brews theirs! Tickets start at like $12 (don't quote me) but you get your moneys worth in beer samples.

Entertainment & Activities

Lets be honest, if you want to try this place out, it's exactly as it sounds. It's kind of worth it if you want to spend $3 on some mediocre coffee and then wait impatiently for your chance to place for like 15 minutes with some kittens just to say that you did.

Make sure you get on the right way - Dundas is the annoying subway station where you can't change platforms. So you'd have to go from Dundas to the next stop before you can change directions again. Or you can just pay another fare.
