A beautiful and peaceful place to stay, located near lots of great hiking spots. The mountain view and running stream provided a peaceful atmosphere. The short drive to two towns where there is dining, coffee and groceries, made our stay more flexible and pleasant. The hot tub and starry views were amazing.

This was an awesome house! We will have to come back when it gets a little warmer and we can use the pool. But for this weekend it was hottub only weather. Great host. Very responsive. Very clean and comfortable.

My wife and I had a very relaxing visit to South Carolina, the cottage is right on the point at lake Murray, the view is so peaceful and it was a great gift for my 65th birthday...everything was available to do on the lake..the only problem was it went by to fast,we would highly recommend it for anyone needing a clean ,beautiful place to vacation. Thanks to Neal and Florence for having us...

What a cool property! The house was cozy and clean, but that's only the beginning. My kids played in the giant field, explored the woods, cold-plunged in the creek, relaxed in the hot tub, made s'mores in the fire pit, and played lots of ping pong! This isn't just a house; it's more like a camp! It was more charming and memorable than we ever expected. We had everything we needed and wished we could have stayed longer! The driveway and parking area were adequate and navigable, even with my 15-passenger van. The surrounding area is beautiful! During our 3-day stay, we hiked 6 waterfalls and did Sliding Rock, all within a 30-minute drive. So glad we didn't miss the experience of staying at this unique and lovely property. We'll be back!

We loved our stay. Everything was clean. exactly as described. We love the hot tub and the kayaks.

Great stay at Connestee falls. Loved the views of the lake from the house and the great hiking trails nearby. Lake is stocked with fish and the kids had a lot of luck fishing. Hot tub has a great lake view for enjoying at night

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect set up for our family of 5. The house is charming and updated with nice decor. Very clean and comfortable! We loved how private the property is. Very nice hot tub and fire put area!! Hosts extremely responsive, arrived almost immediately with a space heater when we reported difficulty with one unit. We found lots of fun things to do and see in surrounding towns! Perfect family getaway!

This is a beautiful waterfront home. Inside, it was clean and comfortable, with all amenities included as advertised. Great home for families, as the kid's corner is fun, and there's lots of fun to be had on the property for kids. The hot tub worked great and was clean. The large windows provide wonderful views of the water, and the deck is a great size to enjoy the view from outside. The location is generally about ~15 minutes away from stores. Highly recommended for a getaway!

We have stayed at The Cottage in the past, it’s always immaculate and comfortable. We look forward to returning in the very near future.

This is one of our favorite places to spend a weekend on Lake Murray! It’s such a comfortable space with an incredible view and we enjoyed spending the day enjoying the lake and relaxing. The cottage has everything you could possibly need, and the check in was so easy. The hosts were kind and accommodating and we will definitely be back! Grocery store is only 5 minutes away if you need to grab anything on the way in. If you’re looking for the perfect lakefront getaway—This is it!!!

Stayed for three months while work was happening on our house. It was as close to feeling like home as it could have been. Loved sitting outside in the rocking chairs or around the fire pit (that I now need to buy one like it lol). Beds were very comfortable and it had everything needed. Hated to leave and would stay again if needed

Truly a great experience! Deb and Tony are the ultimate hosts. We added family members and a pet to our original reservations due to coordinating schedules for family members. They responded promptly to our requests and our trip was a huge success! I highly recommend this location for anyone visiting the Travelers Rest/Greenville area. The vineyard and grounds were peaceful for walking. Wine tasting was a plus!!! Thank you Deb and Tony

We adored the Woodland cottage! It felt like a gnome’s house tucked away in a magical forest. We wanted to stay forever! Michele thought of everything! We are totally amazed at how well outfitted the tiny kitchen was. We are the odd people who love to cook on vacation. We made too rather complicated meals with ease…including sharp knives…a total bonus and happy place for us!🤣 Everywhere you look, you realize every element of decor was chosen with care. Everyone enjoyed how comfortable the beds were. We also appreciated the recommendations in the guidebook. They were spot on! The Carolina Outdoor Adventures kayaking trip through Congaree National Park was a highlight of our trip. We also enjoyed a pre-dinner hike at Peach Tree Preserve. Thanks Michelle for a great stay!!

This is the second trip we have made to this location over the last couple years. The location right on Lake Bowen and the large screened porch make for a very peaceful and relaxing vacation! Very well maintained and owner is super helpful with instructions and helpful tips.

Great house for fishing. Close to the bait shop and numerous boat docks. nice dock at the house to tie up your boat and fish also.

Just was the perfect hostess! She was friendly, answered all my questions quickly and made our arrival seamless. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We were immediately comfortable and we were able to settle in quickly. Both the house and surroundings were impeccable and well maintained. Highly recommend staying here!!

Loved this place. A little on the pricier side but so worth it. We loved talking around the fire place and how close it was to the Clemson night scene. Host was kind and responsive. Would def visit again.

A great little place to enjoy some peace and quiet! The cottage was spotless when we arrived. It has everything we needed for a weekend of fishing and relaxation. Sheri went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will definitely be staying there again next year! If you’re looking for a place to stay in Lake Murray, look no further!

This was my second visit to Marthas and once again it did not disappoint. This time we decided to book specifically for a father son fishing trip. We had a blast caught plenty bass blue gill and some catfish. I normally never catch any bass but they were pumping on my hook all weekend. Martha is always helpful very responsive and so polite she always leaves a little snack in kitchen when you enter. The furniture is cozy and very comfortable the setting is relaxing and beautiful view. The neighbors are polite great restaurants nearby and easy to drive to with many grocery stores close by the locals are so friendly and welcoming.

This place is amazing. It is the most unique place that I have ever stayed. You have the convenience of being close to everything but inside you feel like you are in a cozy cabin deep in the woods. It was a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day. I will definitely be back!

Perfect!! I am a review reader and made my choice based on reviews!! This place is exactly as described and more!! Felt like home....was very comfortable/cozy!! Everything you might need was there!! 😊 Location: we loved the privacy of this rental!! The morning sun coming from across the field (across the road) was so welcoming!! Easy to find!! Few minutes to the interstate (convenience stores and gas)!! Communication with Robert was top-notch!! I had no issues at all but Robert checked in to assure we got checked in ok (keypad super easy)...and then again to make sure all was well and any questions/concerns!! The bedrooms were large size rooms....comfy beds and nice linens/bedding! Plenty of towels in both bathrooms (brought my own due to allergies)....very nice!! Kitchen was nice....new appliances!! Loved that fridge!! 😊 We cooked a pizza one night but other than that really didn't use kitchen!! Let's talk about the plate of "welcome" cookies!! 🤩 Yum!! 100% recommend!!
