this stay in Totonicapán was truly something unique and life changing. Carlos and his whole family are pillars of their community who strongly advocate for the preservation of the local K'iche cultural and linguistic heritage, artistry, and traditional agrarian lifestyle. While I was with the Chaclan family, I felt so honored to bear witness to the traditions of their community, and their eager willingness to introduce me to their way of life was something unlike I had ever experienced beforehand. after this visit, I plan to come back to Totonicapán periodically to further study the area. I encourage any visitor to the Guatemalan highlands curious about the local traditions to book a stay with this family, as they will ensure you are taken care of as a member of their own household, and provide you with information about anything on the area that piques your curiosity.

No pude haber pedido una mejor estadía en panajachel . El hotel súper fácil de encontrar , parqueo seguro , instalaciones totalmente nuevas y lo que más quiero destacar de este lugar es la ATENCIÓN al huésped. Desde el inicio , te ayudan con tus maletas y después del check- in te toman la orden del desayuno incluido y la hora deseada para llevártelo a la habitación la mañana siguiente . Camas súper cómodas , el baño amplio con regadera alta y con espejo led iluminado que como dato tiene bocinas bluetooth incluidas. Smart TV de 65 pulgadas con todas las apps y un Wifi que va volando . Cuenta con una terraza preciosa y perfecta para subir por la noche , todo es nuevo así que las instalaciones son inmejorables . Recomiendo las habitaciones de atrás porque te despiertas con los pájaros cantando y el sonido del río muy relajante . Especial agradecimiento al muchacho que está a cargo del turno de noche, atento de sobremanera y un anfitrión excelente por donde lo vean . Gracias .

El alojamiento fue genial en su totalidad, gracias, espero volver pronto y un agradecimiento a Joan que también nos ayudó bastante. Las 2 habitaciones estaban excelentes!

Un buen alojamiento para relajarse y salir de la rutina, buena ubicación y fácil de llegar tanto con vehículo como a pie. La hamaca y el árbol de níspero son una buena combinación 👌🏽

I highly recommend staying with Chilky and her family. They are very friendly and hospitable. the rooms is clean and comfortable, the location is quiet. And the real treat is the breakfast, probably the best breakfast I ever had at airbnb:) thank you for your hospitality!
