San Carlos : locations de vacances dans des tiny houses

Las vistas, al menos en temporada seca, son insuperables. Hay vista completa al volcán Arenal desde el ventanal de la cama y desde el porche. Karen es súper amable y muy agradable. Nos ayudó con varias excursiones y nos dio consejos muy útiles sobre cosas que hacer por la zona. Siempre estaba atenta a lo que pudiéramos necesitar. Estuvimos muy a gusto y si volvemos es un sitio que repetiremos sin duda.

I absolutely love this magical place. It is so well-maintained and decorated with so much love, a true spiritual heaven, for everybody who is looking for tranquility, a connection to nature and oneself. Especially the beautifully decorated yoga room with stunning art pieces is very special. I love the animals, the hammocks everywhere and the open space full of art, music instruments and just such a nice and free spirited vibe. If I will ever be in the area again, I will definitely come here. Thank you so much for this lovely place that you created, Keith! 🙏🏼

Highly recommend this place to stay in Monteverde! The host was super welcoming when we arrived and was kind throughout. The place is as described with a beautiful view overlooking the mountains which allowed for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. To note, having a car or using taxi’s is most likely needed to stay here. There wasn’t really any restaurants or places to walk to without driving into the main township.

Teresita and Eli went above and beyond. We were a group of 14 and rented out all their cabanas. As you can imagine we had lots of questions. They took the time to recommend activities and even booked on our behalf. Also, all of their food recommendations were great. The cabanas were beautiful and had everything we needed.

My husband and I loved staying here. The place was very private and a little slice of paradise that included a view of the Arenal Volcano on clear days. Swimming in the pool and enjoying the sounds of the jungle were definitely highlights. We also loved being a little outside of the hustle and bustle of town, but just a short drive away when we wanted to explore that area. The place itself was small but had everything we needed and we felt right at home. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting La Fortuna.

We loved our stay here, the cabin is surrounded by nature- which is just what we were looking for. There is a nice king bed- one perk we didn’t realize is housekeeping. We would come home from long hikes to our bed made and fresh towels. Also the breakfast is fabulous and a really good price.

We had such an amazing stay with David and family. They were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The cabin was just the right balance of rustic and comfortable. It’s just off the road, but you feel like you are far away in jungle paradise. David was very attentive and had lots of great recommendations. We can’t wait to come back!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Le loft est très propre. Il est situé en retrait de la ville ce qui permet d’être au calme et à proximité de Monteverde et des différentes randonnées. La vue du logement sur la nature est magnifique! A noter que la voie d’accès au logement est une piste et qu’il est préférable d’avoir un véhicule adapté.

Beautiful place. Had a great stay. Tiny house was just as advertised- stylish, comfortable, clean, and functional. Very smooth overall experience, and best of all were the surroundings. The garden was gorgeous- even nicer than photos, as it’s since grown in a little more, providing even more seclusion and jungle vibe, as well as bird visitors. Porch and volcano view very nice. Shower very nice. Communication with hosts was smooth and helpful - thanks for the restaurant recommendations. Security of the property seemed solid. Only drawback was the unusual volume of some of the trucks and motorcycles on the road! Earplugs recommended. Thanks again for the nice stay:)

We had a wonderful stay at Allan’s place in Monte Verde. The location was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The house was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and charming getaway!

We enjoyed our seat here. Very sweet, clean accommodations with everything we needed. Located close to local hikes and hot springs. Comfortable bed, lovely gardens with cool birds, a beautiful pool area, space for yoga practice and a gym. Felt safe and private. Andy, the host, had great recommendations and was responsive to any questions we had. The only down side was occasional sounds from loud trucks on the bordering road.

We had amazing days in Fika Haus. It is beautiful, right in the middle of the beautiful rain forests of Monteverde. The high windows make the room very spacious and you can observe the local wildlife from the comforts of your bed. There is an emerald toucanet nesting in the tree right next to the house; we saw woodpeckers, thrushes, tanagers, humming birds, chachalacas and doves right from the porch. Quite an amazing view.

Thank you so much for your beautiful b&b. We enjoyed every single minute in our private space. It’s better than the pictures! I hope one day I will come back to do again this incredible experience. Thank you!!!

Amazing view. Great host

This was the perfect place to stay in La Fortuna. It was walkable to everything downtown, but also offered secure parking, so we were able to park our rental car. Even though it was right in town, it was quiet and private. The place was very well designed, with all the amenities we needed. We wished we had more time at home to just relax in the space (we were mostly off adventuring). The host was extremely helpful - we were able to check-in early, he helped us plan some excursions, and was most accommodating when we had an early adventure planned for the morning of check-out. We couldn't have asked for a more ideal situation. Highly recommend!

What a special place! We felt so lucky to have a spot in the jungle with sounds of the nearby stream, beautiful birds perching in the backyard and a place to relax after a long day of exploring. Jocsan has smartly built two tiny houses next to each other in his backyard. They are positioned in a way that all feels private and the vegetation surrounds you everywhere. In between his house and the tiny houses is a gorgeous back garden. It was a pleasure meeting him and his family and although we weren’t able to take him up on it, he offered to feed us one night! His spot is nestled in an area of town right outside La Fortuna which was lovely to get away from the busy town at the end of the day. But also just a few mins into town for meals and conveniently located to many tourist attractions. Great spot, highly recommend! Thanks so much Jocsan & family for hosting us!

We’re really glad we chose Silvia’s cozy hideaway tree house. It felt like we were in the middle of the rainforest, yet we were just a short distance from town — the best of both worlds. Waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning was such a treat. The place felt private and peaceful, and although the kitchen is small, it had everything we needed. One small suggestion: a drying rack for clothes would be a great addition, especially for guests coming back from a hot spring or canyoning adventure. All in all, a lovely stay!

Es nuestra segunda vez hospedados en esta casa y nos gustó mucho. Además es un lugar seguro y muy tranquila.

Absolutely beautiful place! Really clean, well designed, thoughtfully furnished, and unique. Felt like luxury for being a dome in the jungle. I will say even with the host’s instructions the hot water in the shower was maddening the first time around. Trick is to not pull the handle out far enough to where the whirling sound stops. Even then the temperature would vary a bit, but at least it was pleasant, especially with the birds and jungle right outside your window! Gated parking worked perfectly and made us feel very safe. The pathway lighting was thoughtfully done as well. Two things of mention: the view isn’t quite as impressive as the photos imply due to tree growth and camera angles, and unfortunately there’s construction going on next door from 6am-5pm. It usually didn’t bother us, but occasionally there’s loud power saws. That being said the bed was extremely comfy and the blankets were perfect for Monte Verde weather, so relaxing wasn’t too hard!

It is an absolute DREAM. We spent the evening in the hot tub and then just resting in chairs listening to the sounds of the jungle. We had coffee on the net in the morning and I did yoga on the porch while my husband enjoyed the hot tub. Lots of sweet little touches - candles, balloons, and our names on a little plaque. They gave great restaurant recommendations and we're so helpful and kind. We cannot wait to bring our family!
