In more recent times it was converted to an elegant family home, maintaining the architectural integrity of the original building. In the proximities you will also see other ancient buildings that once were barns and houses for the workers.

The village of San Vincenzo a Torri and of Ginestra Fiorentina are respectively 2km away grocery and bakery stores, pharmacy, bank, restaurant, news stands, and petrol stations are within minutes from the house. Only 16km (10miles) to Florence the toll free highway is 3km from the house. Car is a must.

The original farmhouse was previously owned by David Lean, the famous film director; who fell in love with the breathtaking views. The main house sleeps 8 people; it has four well-lit bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen and a first floor sitting room. The oldest part of the house, which dates back to the 12th century,adjoins the main house and sleeps 2 .
