You are sure to be comfortable in this spacious and unique space that is nestled in beautiful farmland at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 10 min to SNP! Sunrises over the fields and orchards behind and sunsets over the mountains in front of you create a magical and memorable experience. This log structure used to be a tobacco drying barn inthat was then converted to a cabin residence and has recently been thoughtfully renovated

This beautiful house is the culmination of eight friends’ vision for an ecological and architectural experience. Set on a picturesque 33-acre grassfed cattle farm, this 4 bedroom, 3 loft, 2.5 bath dwelling is ideal for family get-togethers and intimate reunions with old friends. Many Blue Ridge Mountain sunsets have been celebrated from the open air balcony. Due to the number of staircases and separated rooms, the property is not ideal for folks with toddlers or those with mobility limitations.

The Red Barn on the Ridge

Experience the charm of a small hobby farm from this unique second-floor apartment, perched directly above our working barn. This bright, airy retreat offers a true "birds-eye view" of pastoral life, perfect for those looking to swap city noise for the gentle sounds of the countryside. The space offers a bright, open-concept studio with a private exterior entrance. You’ll live right above our cows and chickens. Expect rustic sounds and earthy country scents as part of the authentic experience.

Our cabin was originally a grainery. We moved it to sit on a wooded knoll on our working sheep farm. Mornings can be spent relaxing on our front porch while watching lambs play. We offer a firepit and outdoor furniture to better enjoy the peaceful seclusion of our slice of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Guests are just 10 minutes to downtown Lexington, Virginia Military Institute, Washington & Lee University, Southern Virginia University & the Virginia Horse Center. The owner is a VMI alumnus.

The Tobacco Barn

A high-peaked ceiling and exposed-log crossbeams reveal the Tobacco Barn’s past life as a place for hanging tobacco leaves to dry. Now converted to a one-room guest house, it features a front porch swing, cozy fireplace, soapstone floors, a homey sitting area, and a tall, high-post bed. The pressed-tin ceiling and whiskey-barrel sink in the bathroom add to its charm. Pets are allowed and are charged a fee of $25 (first night) and $15 (per ea. add'l night). Maximum two-person occupancy.
