Surely the highest cottage, at 1200m altitude, in the Cederberg with spectacular views of the Koue Bokkeveld and the Cederberg. It is set against a mountain peak surrounded by pristine Cape flora. A place of retreat and deep silence. The cottage, with its beautiful woodwork and stonework, belongs to another era. Whether you are relaxing under vast oaks or at the plunge pool and watching the sunset turn the mountains pink or are an early bird and watching the sun rise behind cheeky, pointed Botmanskop, there are moments aplenty to ooh and aah at the majesty that surrounds this very special place.

Perched on the edge of the picturesque dam, Coot- and Bullrush Cottage sit alongside each other with spectacular views of the Langeberg Mountains. About an hour and a half from Cape Town, near the Nuy valley, Amandalia farm is home to Saggy Stone Brewery and now 6 unique A-Frame cottages situated within a private nature reserve.
