Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Our guest house is nestled on the lake, tucked beside our family’s main home on a spacious, private property. With sweeping views of the water, peaceful mornings, and cozy nights, it’s the perfect spot for a romantic getaway, solo retreat, family weekend, or a quiet reset. We do NOT allow any parties. Years ago, the lake (roughly 12 acres) was a working gravel pit, now a beautiful spring fed quarry.

You will fall in love with the historic charm and comfortable accommodations of this meticulously restored 1871 train depot. Located in the Magic Capitol of the World, Colon is a small community in southwest Michigan. Walk to the quaint village of Colon and visit magic shops, enjoy the local theatre’s and dining. Bring your boat and enjoy one of the all sports lakes close by, or catch some fish for dinner. Kayaks and canoes can be put in at various spots along the St. Joe river.

Forest Glade is a beautiful cabin tucked away in the wooded hills of Sturgis, MI. Completely private and thoughtfully furnished, you'll love what our home offers. On the main floor is an open kitchen/living area that's filled with natural light, a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and an attached bathroom, and another half bath. Upstairs are two bedrooms with twin over full bunks in both rooms, a full bathroom, and an open loft with a sitting area.

Cottages on Sand Lake - The Cozy Cottage

Cozy two bedroom cottage with a view. Deck right off living room to enjoy the view of the lake. Paddle boat, row boats, paddle boards and kayaks provided. Lake trampoline also. Sand Lake County Park located two blocks away to put your boat in. This is a classic Michigan inland lake, 102 acres, all sports with great fishing. The Cozy Cottage is one of five properties we rent out and is close to another cottage which are both located directly on the water.
