Summers County : locations de vacances

Me and my wife stayed there recently and used it as our base camp to explore the new river gorge national park. The house was perfect for our needs as every place we wanted to go was nearby and its hard to beat the view of the river out back. I met John and he was a really nice guy and Id recommend anyone staying there to contact him for his rafting or fishing guide services. We are already planning our trip back and will stay here again

“Al’s Place” hosted by Ms Ellen was the most amazing place to have my daughter’s medical school graduation gathering!! Less than 30 minutes from WVSOM in Lewisburg towards Charleston, it was easily accessible… only minutes off the Interstate. Pictures DO NOT do it justice… BREATHTAKING is an understatement!!! Ms Ellen’s attention to detail is second to none. The cabin itself is so pretty especially with the screened in porch adorned with string lights, porch setting, chairs, grill and not to mention the most beautiful view of the river!!!!! Again, the backyard is wide open with a fire pit and one can sit there for hours gazing out at the river. I literally can not wait to return and stay longer!!!!

Cindy is an amazing host! There are trails to walk the pups, amazing places to go, horses to pet, a hot tub to soak in. Lovely stay, very romantic!

Anna and Bill’s place was perfect. It is such a nice, spacious place on the river, with an incredible porch for hanging out on a lovely day like we had. They were also super responsive. Couldn’t recommend this more for anyone like us getting out of the city and spending time in West Virginia.

My fiancé and I stayed in Red Bud with our little dog for 6 nights and loved it so much! The view was incredible and we enjoyed how quiet our surroundings were. Having a cup of coffee on the porch every morning was like a dream. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. We were surprised because it had everything we needed plus more! Most cabins are bare bones but not this. Also if you are someone in need of internet, the internet was perfect and gave us no trouble. We also arrived at night and it was of course very dark, I messaged Rich to help us get to the cabin and he called me and stayed on the phone with us until we were there, which was super appreciated. As far as activity recommendations, the immediate area is pretty remote, but we drove one day (about 40 mins maybe?) to Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory (short but very pretty hike!) and then went to the Cheese ‘n More Store for a sandwich after. The perfect day trip! Both are worth the drive/visit. We will be back!

Thank you John for my second stay at Larew cottage. I can only imagine what it was like growing up there. It was a great base for our work documenting effects of the pipeline construction in the area and all the neighbors and folks we chatted with were wonderful, despite such a difficult intrusion in the region. I will be back!

We had a great time at Garry's place! The place was very clean and well furnished, and we appreciated the many bedrooms (my adolescent son likes his privacy). We enjoyed the location by the river, plus the kids loved spending time around the fire pit where they built a fire every night. Great location also if you want to visit Sandstone Falls or hike the Grandview Rim Trail. We hope to visit again.

Sheila‘s place was awesome, we had such a great time with the kids fishing for a few days and it was the perfect location to unwind and take in the surroundings.

this place was a wonderful get away! west virginia is always so beautiful. so clean, and peaceful. was a very nice way to reset.
