The district is bordered by Vesturlandsvegur, Úlfarsá to the municipal border of Mosfellsbær, to the north and east by the municipal border to and around Úlfarsfell to Vesturlandsvegur. There is one lake in Grafarholt and it is called Reynisvatn. Úlfarsá flows through the border of Úlfarsárdalur and Grafarholt and then turns into Korpúlfsstaðaá at Vesturlandsvegur.

Additionally, the nearby Dalslaug swimming pool is within a leisurely 10-minute walk.

Many of the main attractions are only 40-50 minutes away, it is a great base for exploring Iceland. I would say a car is needed when staying in Iceland and furthermore at my apartment. Parking is available on premises.
