100% recommends The boot. hubby and I are always looking for unique stays and this certainly fit the bill. awesome surroundings, great fireplaces, comfy bed. the little details like home made bread and fresh flowers made us feel right at home. thank you Judy, we had such an awesome time. ps... the ginger slice at Jesters is THE BEST!

Stayed in the Cabin here and it was great! Rooms was clean with comfy bed Campsite was nice and quiet, lots of kitchen space as well as showers and toilets. Would highly recommend

A great place to get away from it all and explore the natural beauty of Te Tai Tapu/Kahurangi and West Whanganui inlet. Added bonus of a visit to the nearby glow worms included courtesy of the very welcoming hosts.

A special place! Stay here if you can - at least 3 nights or more! The chalet was small but cozy and comfortable for 2 of us. Amazing views and great access to the property!

Such a beautiful spot! The cabin is simple but beautifully done. Loved the walks the owners have marked out and the friendly bird life. There’s some pretty frisky sandflies down by the river but they weren’t too much of a hassle up by the cabin itself. I actually did end up having cell coverage, albeit limited, but everything’s otherwise off the grid which was nice and helped disconnect from work. I got lucky and had gloriously sunny days, so no troubles with the solar hot water. Great stay! Could’ve happily stayed another day, which the owners have noted is a common piece of feedback they get and I can see why.

Lovely place to stay. There was great surrounding places to eat and the beach right there. Rose welcomed us in and made us feel right at home. Would highly recommend as a place to stay.

Great place and highly recommend. Check in was easy & David is the perfect host. The tiny home was clean, private & the views from the deck amazing. David also provided coffee & breakfast. Will definitely stay here again when next in Nelson.

Elwynne and Em have a beautiful spot in Tapawera. We were so delighted chatting with Elwynne every morning and evening, and her kitties and doggo were a wonderful treat that made us feel right at home. We loved Elwynne’s home cooked meals for dinner, after long days of exploring it was such a treat to come back to that. The accommodation was everything and more, and the spot was so charming! All the sheep were a lovely perk as well. We hope to return in the future!

Lovely house truck perfect little hideaway. Loved the old copper storage tank and how the water taps are brass with copper lines.

Sharon has created such a beautiful, tranquil space in Pohara. A stunning outlook to the beach, but still super private and quiet, and only a short wander down to the beach. The studio had everything we needed and more for a few nights in Golden Bay. So many nice touches made us feel at home. The fireplace was a real treat! We would love to spend more time here again, totally recommended to anyone holidaying in the region! Thanks Sharon

I really enjoyed my stay at Te Whare o Kea. Anna was friendly and helpful and gave me good instructions on how to get there. The buildings were clean, cosy and a pleasure to spend time in with a beautiful view in all directions. It was worth the drive to spend some time in the peaceful surroundings getting visited by the birds.

Our stay at Kathy's snd Greg's tinyhome was great. It's a lovely place, very modern and had everything we needed. The hosts are very friendly and have a beautiful garden where the tiny home is located at. The place is next to the highway which makes it easy to travel around.

Angie is an amazing host. Other than we asked so many questions and favors, all she has been doing was being nice, calm and supportive. The tiny house isn't so tiny.. we were very surprised to see how big the house is versus tiny houses. You have a beautiful lake just in front of you, the house has all amenities you need for cooking or relaxing. There is no wifi - we kinda liked it, place to talk with your partner and have a great night with her. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. Would come again! We wish you the best, thank you!

Claudia's property is amazing and will tickle anyone who loves something a bit wild and intrepid! The view from the bedroom cabin over the bay is amazing. The outdoor bath was so relaxing, once we got the hang of feeding the stove correctly. The atmosphere was 10/10 and you won't struggle to feel at home here if you like the outdoors and going off the grid.

Cute, cosy, private Birch Cottage is a cosy, quiet place to stay in the Wairau Valley. It's private and peaceful, with stunning views all around. A lovely, relaxing spot — would happily return.

Great place to stay. Close to central Nelson.

Amazing location just a short walk or 2 minute drive from the centre of town. Comfy detached room set at the back of their garden with a private bathroom. Raeonie was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. They have even put a lot of effort into local recommendations for food and activities which was really appreciated.
