Te Waipounamu / South Island : locations de vacances avec accès à un lac

Travelling with family of 6 plus grandparents. Was a great stay and 5-10 mins from airport and 5-10mins from town depending on traffic. The layout was good for us as we could stay upstairs while the grandparents had the self contained unit downstairs. The main living room was great and had a big window that captured the views amazingly. The outside had a nice little outside space with table and chairs and great on the couple of sunny days. The hottub was good on our ski days and overlooked the water which was nice. The property was clean and functional and had the basics. The bedrooms were on the smaller side but was fine for that style and time of building. One thing to keep in mind is that the driveway is a little harder to get down coming from the south if you have a long wheel base. This is due to the orientation of the hairpin corner. It sometimes hard to get out from during busy times if heading south as you cannot clearly see around the corner and can be dangerous.

Das Häuschen von Anna ist wirklich ein Traum! Wir haben uns bei unserem Aufenthalt sehr wohl gefühlt, Preis-Leistung sind großartig, Möbel/Bett sehr bequem und die Ausstattung ist wirklich toll (z.B. Außenbereich mit Heitwärmer, Insektenspray etc. etc.). Wir sind nur ungerne wieder abgereist :) auch das Dossier mit Tips für die Gegend in der Unterkunft ist sehr hilfreich gewesen.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Sarah’s place! The house was modern, spacious ,and spotless. We had an easy time making dinner because everything we needed was provided. The neighbourhood was lovely—we took an evening walk to the lake, had a nice chat with one of the neighbours, and were greeted by another resident’s friendly dog! Highly recommended to stay at Sarah’s place if you’re visiting Te Anau with family or friends :)

Had a great time. Lots of space and good living area to hang out. Kitchen was great and it was great having a few bathrooms with our family group. Garage was great for keeping bikes and pram etc. heaps of on street parking as well as the drive. Great outdoor area. Comfortable beds and generously sized rooms. Had a great stay, Thanks

Great location, close to everything, quiet neighbourhood, warm house, we had an excellent time with the whānau. Plus Te Anau is such a great location, there is so much to do in this part of the country. We went on the Doubtful Sound cruise - recommended :-)

Located right next to a restaurant (The Church), a small dairy that sells groceries and 2-3 mins away from the lake! Nice quiet neighbourhood. While there was no oven, the kitchen is well equipped with cooking ware and a dishwasher! Good location for Doubtful sound and in fact Milford sound! Carolyn was very responsive and friendly! There is also a detailed, thoughtfully prepared manual on the table about the house + neighbourhood. Highly recommended :)

We had a lovely stay is a great home with stunning views. We would like to have stayed longer. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days stay.

We enjoyed our staying at this lovely, cozy and well prepared place. The house is beautiful and the kitchen is organised perfect and easy to use. The location to the town centre is great only 5 mins taking to pretty all of restaurants and marts. Definitely recommend this place.

Such a beautiful home! The view was truly astounding. And the location was perfect. Very clean and comfortable house — everything provided for. And Deborah was an extremely helpful and friendly host! Can’t wait to come back!

Impeccable apartment. Utmost cleanliness. Well thought out amenities providing everything one could need. An oblique view of the spectacular lake from the bedroom Lovely to wake up to. Walkable to town while a little away from the other stay places. A very beautiful location. All in all a marvellous stay.

The place is close to Queenstown airport, restaurants and easily accessible. It's just few steps away from the famous Boatshed restaurant of the Queenstown. It's a good place to stay with family The host is responsive and cooperative. During the stay , had some issues with the sink The host fixed it immediately in the middle of Easter holiday. Will stay again.

A truly wonderful apartment in a fantastic location, 3 mins walk to the town centre. Karen was an excellent host and was very responsive throughout, providing lots of local recommendations.

A lovely three bedroom townhouse well located. You can walk into the centre of Queenstown along a lakeside path, it will take an hour, but its a nice walk. We ubered home after walking in. Would suit families, or couples with all bedrooms having ensuites. spotlessly clean, with everything you need.

We had a great stay in Queenstown! The apartment was perfectly located—right by the lake and just a short walk to the town centre, which made everything super convenient. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, making the whole experience easy and stress-free. The place was also very family-friendly, with thoughtful touches like a high chair, baby gate, and cot provided, which made a big difference for us. Highly recommend!

Jason and Scott are truly Great hosts. Their cottage is amazingly lovely, clean, with a wonderful view and complete amenities. All we need are readily and conveniently available. Instructions are clear, and the place is indeed very guest-friendly. We had a homey and very special experience. The SPA is also a great deal and the view is breathtaking. We will be back, and hopefully longer stay. Thanks to them for sharing their place; we, as a family, just made another priceless memory.

The cottage was the perfect spot for our short visit to Te Anua. It was very clean and free of clutter, well kept and maintained, and had good modern amenities. We were especially thankful for the towel heater and washer/dryer combo for the cold, wet days. The cottage is located only a short walk to the Main Street and lake. Adam provided us with lots of helpful information regarding the accommodation and area before our stay. I’d definitely recommend this cottage for your visit to Te Anua.

Wir sind bei untergehender Sonne nach Ohau gekommen-einfach so umwerfend schön, wir waren auf dem Weg schon völlig begeistert und das schöne Haus hat alles abgerundet. Wir hatten wirklich tolle Tage dort und wollen unbedingt eines Tages an diesen magischen Ort wiederkommen-vielen Dank an Clare.

Lovely spacious and comfortable cottage. We found it an ideal place as a base for further exploration of Central Otago. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and cosy farm stay. Away from other other houses so we could be in complete darkness at night and see the Milky Way! Charlotte was very quick with her responses and Chad was kind enough to show us the calves and the farm.

I selected this house for its central location to visit Mt Cook and Lake Tekapo. Location was good for those days of exploring. Twizel is very small, though cute. I took advantage of what the house offers with full kitchen and enjoyed the outdoor bath to star gaze. The house is beautifully built and comfortable. Bed was super comfy, great shower and appreciated being able to do laundry.

Beautiful lakefront cottage with incredible views and a quiet and private location. This home is older but clean and well-maintained. There is no central heat or AC but the space heaters were effective. The host provided lots of information about activities. The house is located about 35-45 minutes to Mount Cook National Park and Lake Tekapo, 7 minutes from Lake Pukaki retreat (stargazing) and 15-20 minutes from Twizel with shopping and restaurants. The house was larger than expected with 4 twin and 1 larger (queen or king?) bed. Checkin was easy, kitchen was well-equipped and our stay was great.
