The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

Savor the scenery at this new, custom-built cabin nestled in the trees, with mountain views. Our one-bedroom cabin is lined with wood milled right here in the Shenandoah valley. Sip your favorite drink on the covered porch and take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Walk the 3 minute trail through the woods directly to the SRO. Enjoy your river adventure whether it be tubing, canoeing, kayaking or rafting. Set out to hike Kennedy Peak Trailhead, and take in the scenic over-looks.

Peaceful Secluded Old Rag Retreat

The spacious one bedroom yurt is located high on a forested hillside in the middle of 15+ acres. Come enjoy a natural and serene getaway with all the comforts of home- a full kitchen (ie, all utensils, setting for four), a bathroom with shower and laundry, a queen bedroom, and a queen foldout sofa in the living room by the wood burning stove. The windows roll up from the outside and have permanent screens inside. There is also a BBQ grill, a separate firepit, and WiFi via satellite.
