Located in a gated community called Cove Creek which consists of many large acre properties and very little development. Several trails located directly on the property for atv riding and hiking. The community is atv friendly and also boasts a beautiful creek containing brook trout and picturesque waterfall. Winterplace , Hatfield Mccoy Trails, and Appalachian trail all only minutes away.

Hungry Mother Island is a unique three bedroom cabin on its own island surrounded by Hungry Mother Creek at Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, VA. Located off the Back of the Dragon Trail & bordered by Hungry Mother State Park along with George Washington & Jefferson National Forest. Nearby multiple wilderness areas, superb mountain stream fishing, small lake fishing, swimming area & beach, wildlife management areas & miles of trails offer tons of natural amenities and outdoor opportunities.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Enjoy both fabulous sunrises, sunsets and views of the mountains that surround you. Sip your first cup of coffee on the spacious screened in porch. Bring your charcoal to grill. Enjoy an outdoor fire (we supply the wood). Well equipped kitchen is begging to be used. Less than 2 miles to the Hatfield & McCoy Pocahontas Trail. We are pet friendly (w/owner approval and additional $25.00 pet fee). Strong WiFi, Very close to convenience stores, ATV rentals, gas, groceries, food, car wash, and more. Lodge (A) is beautiful and fully furnished 2 BR, 1 bath, large open kitchen/dining/living area. Plenty of parking.

Located approximately 6 minutes to War, WV and HMT trailhead. A Short, nice ride to the Wilmore Dam, and to High Rocks. NEW ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR LARGE TRAILERS across the street from the Cottage. In addition to approximately 50 ft. in front, 40 ft. in back, 30 ft. on the side of the cottage. SEE PARKING PHOTOS. We are on Rt 16, part of the ”Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Riding Route in Caretta, WV. You will have easy on/off access to “Warrior Trail” from Caretta or War.

Then come drink hot chocolate next to the fireplace, or have a glass of wine while watching the sunset on the covered porch!
