The Kennels

Kick off your walking boots, wash down your bike or just park up the car, this freshly converted kennels is the place to relax for a few days. Peaceful and away from it all but close enough to explore the beauty of the Peak District and Chatsworth House. Matlock is a couple of miles away with restaurants, shops and amenities. You can start exploring from the door step; we can help with guides, directions and recommendations. The room can be configured as a luxury Super King or twin beds.

Magical Historic Barn Conversion

This barn is not for everyone; it is no ordinary holiday cottage, but a retreat for the senses. A unique chance to step back in time, a place where time stands still. The antidote to the fast-pace of life, up here you will feel as though you’re in another world. This 17th century barn is a love note to its 1960s conversion, with all its quirky features still intact. There are no screens, the lighting is low and warm, you will not hear a sound apart from the birdsong. For some, it is heaven.

River Cottage Studio Near Chatsworth Peak District

Dog friendly private self contained studio, unique riverside location, great for walking, getting outdoors, away from the crowds for a relaxing break. Comfy king size bed, cotton sheets, towels, black out curtains. Spacious, off street, private parking, very private riverside garden, just for guests. Picturesque walks directly from the property. A short drive to local shops or supermarkets in Matlock. Please confirm on booking if you are bringing your dog. Lockable bike shed for guest use.

Sequoia Lodge is located in the pretty village of Darley Bridge, making it ideal for anyone wanting to explore the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales. Adjoined to the main house by a wall, you have your own private entrance & courtyard (Summer suntrap!). The living/kitchen areas are bright and airy with huge high beamed ceilings and the bedroom with kingsize bed has French doors opening onto your private courtyard, so you can unwind on a warm evening or enjoy a lazy breakfast in summer.

Damson Tree Cottage-Dog Friendly

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful cozy cottage in Derbyshire Dales on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is a quiet cottage near many places of historical interest, with great walks, and pubs within walking distance. The area is close to Matlock, Bakewell, and Chatsworth house. Check out our guidebook for a few places we have visited and places we would recommend although we are still exploring and adding to this list! Pets are very welcomed (up to 2 pets with fees)

Architect-designed The Round House sits just above the Peak District village of Rowsley, boasting stunning views towards Haddon Hall and Bakewell. Walk to Chatsworth House (3 miles) across the fields following the River Derwent. Set in 9 acres of peaceful landscaped gardens with wonderful birdlife - but only a few miles from the market town of Bakewell. Plenty of great walks from the house plus all year round indoor heated pool shared with Woodside Cottage - also at the same location.

The property is in a delightful and secluded position on the south facing side of Darley Hillside with views over the valley. The main living area is on the upper floor, accessed directly from the driveway and car-port via a hallway leading to the master bedroom and ensuite; living room with open log fire, dining area and internal balcony access to 2-storey atrium complete with spiral staircase; cloakroom; toilet, and kitchen with tree top external terrace.
