Eli’s place was magical. It sat on a hill overlooking a beautiful lake with a magnificent mountain in the background. It felt like staying in a part of her family’s history. The original home was built in 1840 but her and her family completely renovated the cabin while still keeping the integrity of the space. It was extremely cozy, clean, and charming. Eli was a perfect host - she was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home! She had great recommendations for a local farm, as well as nearby alpine ski places. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer but we definitely plan on coming back!! Thank you so much, Eli!

Bardzo przestronny i dobrze wyposażony dom. Wszystko co potrzeba do komfortowego spędzenia czasu. Gospodarz pomocny i komunikatywny. Codziennie dbał o podjazd, żeby dało się podjechać samochodem pod dom. Spokojna i malownicza okolica. Gorąco polecam!

Rummelig bolig med gode opholdsrum. Flot master badeværelse. Det lille soveværelse var lidt trangt til 2 voksne, men vi var informeret om dette på forhånd. Dejligt og veludstyret køkken.

Ho soggiornato una notte con mia moglie e mio figlio di 11 anni nella casa di Gry. Casa molto bella e molto grande...un po' freddina all'arrivo ma il piano terra con soggiorno e cucina si è scaldato subito con le stufe a legna. Le camere da letto al piano sopra erano un po' freschine ma con le coperte fornite non abbiamo avuto problemi a dormire. Gry è sempre stata molto gentile e ci avrebbe permesso, in caso di bisogno, di rimanere anche oltre l'orario di checkout... Purtroppo non siamo riusciti a sfruttare la possibilità di fare un giretto in barca sul fiume causa brutto tempo. Consigliato!! Grazie Gry, da Giacomo, Alessia e Marco.

Our stay here was incredible. We booked for 4 people but this place could easily accommodate 8. The place was clean and tidy and offered everything we needed and more, with beautiful surroundings and a private and authentic feel. Things like extra towels, a pantry with some basic items like rice and pasta, food in the freezer and an easy to use washing machine and dryer really made us feel well looked after. We stayed when temperatures were between -10 and -18 Celsius but the house always felt cosy. The nearest Ski bus stop is a 7-10 minute walk away and the nearest supermarket and ‘town’ area are a 25 minute walk away. If you enjoy walking then the location is fine but we opted to hire a car from the airport to use for our transfers which I would highly recommend. This made collecting ski hire, shopping and travelling to the different slopes much easier as there is lots of parking areas. 10/10 stay. I have already recommended to friends and family.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Mooie plek, prachtige natuur. In het huis is alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt voor een prettig verblijf.

This place has its interesting family history, love the interior decor a lot, especially the kitchen. But the best part is the garden. We were lucky that it was sunny and we spend the whole morning having breakfast and just chilling. Great starting point for hikes/walks and a great stop on the way from/to Oslo. Kristin met us when we arrived and she was very nice. Much recommended 👍

Kan varmt anbefale denne bolig. Hyggelig og rummelig. Tæt på mange gode km langrend. Alt fungerer fint og hyggelig familie på stedet. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage

The cabin was very comfortable and well appointed. Ingrid was really helpful and we had a lovely stay.

We spent 2 nights as a family of 4, and had a great time. access to the ski slope, was super convenient, cross country tracks directly in front of the house, and the hill for the sleigh as well. beautiful sunrise every morning, shame we couldn't stay longer

Vi har haft et virkelig dejligt ophold. Beliggenheden er fantastisk direkte på skibakken med smuk udsigt. Fred var utrolig imødekommende, hjælpsom og hurtig til at svare. Husk snekæder - lejligheden er højt beliggende ⛷️

Vi hadde et ordentlig fint opphold , og fikk alltid svar umiddelbart når vi hadde spørsmål. Veldig god service! Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!

Praktisk, ren og fin leilighet med svært god beliggenhet. Enkelt å kommunisere med verten, som var fleksible og greie med oss. Anbefales.

Jättefin lägenhet med stort fint badrum med badkar, dusch & bastu. Öppet fint kök - dock Trevlig ute-terrass i solläge på eftermiddagen.

Leiligheten er flott og i utmerket stand (ny). Vi var 6 voksne og hadde god plass. Praktisk med oppvarmet garasje under leiligheten med plass til 2 biler. Beliggenheten er veldig bra i forhold til slalåmbakken, og det er kort vei å gå til/fra bakken. Totalt sett meget fornøyd med leilighet og vertskap.

We loved our stay at Lars’ beautiful home in Hemsedal. It was our first time visiting Norway to Ski. The drive from Oslo is beautiful and easy. The check in instructions were simple and easy to find. The apartment itself is stunning and well equipped. The place sleeps 10 but we were a group of 5 and it was perfect. The sun had been out so ski in/out wasn’t possible but defo would be earlier in the season. Walking to the lift took 5 mins. For any British guests reading and wondering whether vastly more expensive compared to France/Austria. I would say the value for money for accommodation far surpasses anywhere we have stayed in other ski resorts. It’s more expensive to eat and drink but not much more. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, the lift staff in particular. The Skarsnuten spa is a must! The toll road is expensive just to pop to the shops ( £32 over 5 days) Only negative is bring our own sheets and towels. Maybe a hire option would be nice to offer. Overall 5 ⭐️

Vi har boet i Skrenten flere gange og er altid meget glade for at vende tilbage. Huset er superhyggeligt, rent og lækkert og har alle tænkelige fornødenheder. Stig er en troværdig, betænksom og ordentlig vært som altid er hurtig til at svare på mails og er altid klar med godt råd om det vi lige har brug for at vide. Tak for endnu et superfint ophold

Wir waren in Ole‘s Haus für 7 Tage über Sylvester und haben die Zeit und das Haus sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr groß und toll ausgestattet. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl und wie zu Hause gefühlt. Ole war immer erreichbar und sehr freundlich. Die Gegend ist wunderschön. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen. Die Gastgeber und das Haus sind absolut zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank

Meget fin bolig med masser af luft og plads til den store sammenbragte familie vi var. Skibusserne var lidt uregelmæssige; så vi kørte til skicenteret. En bil blev parkeret ved nærliggende KIWI butik; da indkørelsen var meget stejl, men blev fint ryddet for sne hverdag. Så den var ok at køre op og ned af i den store bil. Virkelig flink vært og nem at få fat i de få gange vi havde brug for hjælp. En person havde glemt linned; men der hang opslag på opslagstavlen om hvor man kunne leje det - det ville have været rart at vide så vi kunne have lejet alle sammen. Ellers passer beskrivelsen perfekt og vi nyd opholdet meget.
