A century-old home — leaning ever so slightly into time — rich with character. Held tenderly by hosts whose kindness doesn’t ask to be seen. It just is. Quiet. Steady. I could fill pages with memories from my time here. But even then, it wouldn’t be enough. And maybe it’s better that way. Maybe some things aren’t meant to be explained. Only carried. This is the place where you take a breath that stays with you.

The stay was very pleasant and provided us with a lot of privacy. The property was big and would be a perfect location for people looking for a getaway. Loved the mountain view. Food was one of the big pluses about the place, they also gave us tender coconuts which were grown inside the property. Especially loved the aesthetics of the building.

We had a fantastic stay. The place was comfortable, and the neighborhood was pleasant. The house was as described, with all listed amenities. If you are looking for a place with a serene atmosphere and fresh air, this is the place. Bharathapuzha and a few temples are within walking distance. The host was very responsive. The caretaker, Kuttan Chettan, was super helpful. He provided delicious Kerala food at a nominal price. We would love to come back here. NB: You can enjoy beautiful paintings too.

Debbie is a Perfect Airbnb host and can say that from the way the house is kept for guests like meticulous details about the house etc...Iam sure it must have come from her vast experience in handling different sorts of people. Though there was some confusion in confirming some details she was flexible enough to handle the situation very well.. I can go on and on. overall nice experience in staying at Debbies beautiful pothanur house and wishes for her to continue to host many people..

Our group of friends celebrated our 30-year high school reunion Sosa. This enchanting resort exceeded our expectations. Tucked away in the woods, this 120+ year old Kerala Tharavadu-style house offers a quaint, no-frills getaway from the city's hustle and bustle. The resort's rustic charm is beautifully preserved, with minimal essential upgrades that maintain its authenticity. Take a stroll through the woods and discover the serene river, perfect for a refreshing bath. The real star of the show is Manager George, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. From waking us up for a river visit to arranging a massive dinner delivery, George's hospitality was exceptional. While the resort has an open kitchen, we recommend exploring local eateries, like the nearby Chaaya Kada for breakfast, and ordering lunch/dinner from KPM Residency. *Note: 3rd bedroom in outhouse*. Overall, this resort is perfect for those seeking a peaceful, rustic retreat without unnecessary frills

An unforgettable farmstay experience in Alanthurai Our stay at this beautiful farmstay was nothing short of amazing. The place is spotlessly clean, wonderfully peaceful, and radiates traditional charm in every corner. Waking up to the sounds of nature and being surrounded by greenery was incredibly refreshing. What truly made the experience stand out was the warmth and hospitality of Veeramani who work there. He was friendly, helpful, and went out of the way to make sure we felt at home. You can genuinely feel the love and care they put into maintaining the property and hosting their guests. If you’re looking for a serene getaway that offers comfort, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality, this is the place. Highly recommended — we’re already looking forward to coming back!
