Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

A great place to stay as we were visiting the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

A beautiful place to stay that was very comfortable for our stay (2 adults, 2 children and a dog). Located a short drive from Barmouth town and beach, it is ideally located out of the way and within a very peaceful setting. The private garden is very well maintained and looks out to sea that shows beautiful sunsets. The shepherds hut was spacious enough for our stay and had everything that we needed. Thank you Hayley and Gareth. We had a lovely weekend.

This was our third stay at Paul’s shepherds hut. It’s the lost wonderful escape! If you’re craving an escape with tranquility, peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. At night all you can hear is the gentle tinkle of the stream and the hooting of owls. In the morning, if you head outside, dawn chorus is amazing. Our dog absolutely loves it here too. He has so much secure space to roam he is so happy exploring. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely place to spend a few days in peace in quiet. The hot tub was amazing and the hosts are very friendly. The hut is in close proximity to the Wye Valley, which is a great place to explore.

What can I say?! Firstly, the accommodation and amenities were absolutely amazing. Welcoming, homely and beautifully presented. We fell in love with Mables the charming little wagon. Although, admittedly, November probably isn't the greatest time to have a outdoorsy escape especially as Storm Bert was making an appearance, we had such a fantastic time. The hot tub was a welcome addition and relaxing with a bottle of wine while the stresses of every day life were soaked away was just what was needed. Martin and CarolAnne were incredibly kind and the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they were on hand whenever we needed them but equally respectful to our privacy. We can't thank you enough for our stay and we'll hopefully be back soon with the kiddies in the Treehouse! Fingers crossed for better weather next time!

We had an amazing stay here! Everything was spotless, including the bathroom. The hut was lovely and warm, with everything you need. The area was beautiful, with donkeys, horses and the lovely farm dog who came to visit us a few times. We felt very safe staying here. We were only a couple minutes drive from Conwy but it was also an easy 20 minute walk into the town. As well, it was a great location for hiking/ walking. With some beautiful trails only a 30 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you😊

my husband and I had a wonder 3 night stay in the shepherd hut. we arrived at 4pm and the hut and hot tub was already warm. the underfloor heating was amazing touch, and the hot tub was fantastic. extremely private and so quiet. Brian's instructions on getting there are very helpful and we used what 3 words. we had a bit of difficulty using the gas bbq, however Brian swiftly came to the rescue to show use how to use it. would definitely visit again. thank you both for a very relaxed break.

A unique stay in the shepherds hut with beautiful surroundings. Had all the facilities needed for a long weekend, and extra luxury with the hot tub.

A beautiful location, watching the sun setting over the sea to one side and mountains to the other from the hot tub was fantastic. The property was lovely and the perfect base for walking in Snowdonia, only an hour from Pen Y Pass carpark. Carol was a perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed . It was a pleasure meeting her dogs and watching the animals enjoy the sunshine in the adjoining fields

had a fantastic stay at the shepherds hut! The hut was very clean and cosy with everything provided. the surrounding views of the hills and mountains were outstanding! Beth as a host was amazing, she made sure we had everything we need and went extra doing things like lighting the hot tub so it was ready for our arrival. my gf and I are already talking about coming back, I couldn't recommend this place enough!

We enjoyed a beautiful night stay here after a walk in the Brecon Beacons and a trip to the beach. The hut was perfect for a cosy evening and Alison could not have been more helpful, providing logs for a fire and a welcome hamper on arrival. We loved having Daisy the goat as our neighbour and spent a great evening by the fire watching the lambs. We will definitely be back!

This place was just gorgeous. The field was so peaceful and beautiful, the fire pit was lovely and the cabin was so cosy. There were lots of lovely little touches and the bed was so comfy. There was plenty of wood to use and useful items like salt and milk. Great kitchen for cooking and our dog loved it. Thank you for a wonderful stay Maria.

Absolutely Loved It – Just Like the Pictures! This place was exactly as shown in the photos—beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The location was fantastic, surrounded by nature and with stunning views. We especially loved the BBQ area, which was perfect for outdoor meals, and the hot tub was incredible—set among natural woods, it felt like a private spa. It was the perfect getaway spot and definitely worth it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay!

Spent a few nights at the Shepherds hut. We'd never used airbnb before so was unsure about the what's and how's but Suzanne was extremely helpful and her fantastic communication made the whole thing surprisingly easy for us. The hut was amazing, the location was amazing, the host was amazing. The whole experience was great. The hut was spotless and really well presented with everything you could want for a short break. The ground it was in was private, enclosed (safe for the dog to wander) and because we were blessed with the hottest day of the year so far and depending on how you cope in the heat there was options to sit in full sun, dappled shade or full shade due to the trees on the edge of the garden. My highlight was the firepit/BBQ and all hot meals were cooked outdoors (didn't use the hob inside), and the area is so peaceful and quiet.. we both managed to relax and forget the real world for a couple of days

you have to love outside living, which we do, it's so cute and quirky, lovely Friendly reception of penny when we arrived, beautiful views, fresh flowers and home baked cake awaited us on the table, lovely cob loaf too, so many little things we didn't need to bring as we're all there on the lovely Welsh dresser, amazing break something different, dogs happy too 😊

I booked very last minute due to a change in plans and needing somewhere the same night! Joshua was really quick to respond and the hut was ready within the hour. It was beautiful and the surroundings are so peaceful. The hot tub was so lovely and Joshua helpfully provided some instructions for this. There was the added bonus of a bottle of Prosecco left for me. The meadow where the huts are is lovely to wander around, particularly if you go with your dog. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend for anyone wanting to get away and have some rest, peace and quiet.

We have just returned from our minimoon after our wedding on Friday. Our stay exceeded our expectations! Bryn's communication was exceptional. He was flexible with our plans changing to include our fur baby, answered messages quickly and with accurate map Pins to make places easy to find. His recommendations were great, the nearby pub 'The Ravon' - delicious food, attentive staff and a cosy atmosphere. The nearby indian, wow the best we've had and the 'Bay Tree Cafe' what a gem! Bryn was friendly, approachable and went above and beyond to make our stay special with newly wed bunting, a bottle of bubbles and some homemade produce which was super tasty. Everything from the property itself, to the log burner, views and hot tub made our stay one we will never forget. It was a really special time as we enjoyed our new bubble as husband and wife! We will definitely return, Bryn has a special set-up here and his personable approach makes it. We will be regualars how. The Listers x

Aly’s hut is just a dream. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, I went for a little peaceful weekend alone and it was just perfect. I sat on the bench watching the mist move through the valley below, walked to the stream in the forest and read my books. The hut is so cosy and welcoming and I felt completely comfortable and safe. I will definitely be back as soon as I am able to. Thank you for a wonderful, peaceful stay.

had a lovely stay with Denise and her family. I absolutely adore their farm, what dreams are made of. Dogs, cats, hens, horses, even rabbits. I even had a horse and carriage trip around Beaumaris slightly suggested by Denise as her Daughter and sister ran it, (no hard sell haha) it is glamping as described, shower and toilet on site...huts lovely and cosy with access to wood burning stove (which im useless at and even if i managed to generate enough warmth to take a chill off) and outdoor heat like firepit and bbq. Their dogs are super friendly just loved them, one of their cats Socks came to welcome me first day...just loved it. very close to Beaumaris and the Menai Straits and Mainland Wales just over the bridge. highly recommend.

Perfect place for staying over for work with my dawgy. It was cozy and warm with everything needed for a relaxing stay with a furry friend. Lovely walk to the lake and woods.
