Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. Our beautiful studio with spacious Hot Tub is close to Edinburgh Airport and only 5 miles from the West End. Perfect for enjoying all that Edinburgh offers, but with the peace and quiet of a rural location. Own transport is recommended but public transport is nearby so leaving the car and hopping a bus/tram into town is easy. Guests staying without own transport are likely best to rely on local taxi services of which there are several including UBER. Plenty countryside walking available also.

Active guests love the 30min walk along the scenic Union Canal which takes them straight to the city centre.

We also have free on street parking if you are driving, and a back garden for you to enjoy some sunshine. With 2 bedrooms and 1 sofa bed, our house comfortably accommodates 4-5 people. This 19th century cottage attached to our family home is a unique find, tucked away and peaceful, but just a short walk to the historic city centre. Perfect for exploring! With a super comfortable bed and a working wood burning stove you'll be nice and cosy. There's loads of board games and books if you want a quiet night in. My parents who live next door are available for tips on Edinburgh, or we can leave you in peace if you prefer!
