The cottage was beautiful and set in such lovely surroundings, we didn’t want to leave. Charles has thought of everything in terms of what you’d need for a home from home stay. We will definitely come back

We had a great week in this cottage blessed by amazing weather. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and spacious. The kitchen in particular is very well provided with all you need to cook a meal; in the living area there is a great TV, many books and games. The location is outstanding, we walked to both Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay and did a day trip to Scarborough and Rievaulx Abby, as well as a woodlands walk near Goathland. The local pub is very good and so is the Coast cafe in the nearby Seaview caravan park. All in all we had a very pleasant stay!

We had a great time here in Whitby. The house is huge and well equipped and we had plenty of space for our group of 12. We appreciated being able to explore by foot as the house is within walking distance of the station, the town and the beach. Would love to return and stay a bit longer!

A beautiful cottage positioned just above picturesque Runswick Bay with lovely surrounding countryside and coastal paths easy access to Whitby on local buses. We visited for 3 nights with my daughter and family . The cottage is perfect for children with a big open garden including a large trampoline which our grandson loved . Jane is a perfect host and the property wanted for nothing decorated and equipped to the highest of standards , one of the best we have stayed in . I would highly recommend this home from home .

This is a real gem of a place situated in the most beautiful surroundings . Fantastic walking straight from your door, bird song galore and so much more . Trish is a wonderful host , very welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble . We were greeted with delicious homemade cake , fresh flowers and a basket of treats . I would highly recommend Trish's beautiful home and really hope to be back again one day so much more to explore . Thank you Trish for a wonderful time . Emma

Had a fantastic stay here. A family of 4 (2 teen boys), my brother in law and 2 dogs. Great location - an easy walk into town and very quiet too. The host was super helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The beds in particular were extremely comfortable - lovely fresh, clean and crisp white linen. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Whitby.

My friend and I with our two dogs felt immediately at home. The house was spotless, smelt amazing and had every amenity we could have hoped for. Jamie was very responsive to any communication, his instructions for entry, wifi, and descriptions of the local area were spot on. We had an amazing week and would be very happy to return. We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Tom's place. We cannot recommend it enough. One thing that really stood out was how clean the place was. It was spotless!! Although it was pet friendly you would not of known...we didn't find any dog hair anywhere! The kids loved the treat of the Xbox. The Wifi was great. The location is spot on. Thank you!

Brilliant stay at Salty kisses at The Bay! Joanne is a wonderful host and always quick to respond. We’ve stayed at another of her properties at the bay before but this was our first visit to this house. It did not disappoint - great facilities and perfect for two families of four. We had a lovely weekend staying at Serendipity to visit the Christmas markets in York. The place has everything we needed and more and Rachael had kindly left the heating on for us so we were super cosy when we arrived in the evening too. Very comfortable bed with great pillows and a great power shower - the all important things! Also a lovely extra touch with some treats for us and the dogs, plus milk, tea and coffee. Our 8 year old loved the addition of the XBOX and extra toys to play with too! Thank you so much Rachael! Helen, Dave, Fin, Olive & Gus x

We spent 2 nights at the apartment. Everything was as described. The location is fantastic within a beautiful holiday village and only 5 mins walk to the amazing never ending sandy beach which is absolutely perfect for your four legged friend. Filey is only 5 mins drive with lovely shops and restaurants and bustling Scarborough only a 15 mins drive. Will definitely be back!

Excellent accommodation but in the middle of what is in effect a large housing development and quite a walk down to the beach. Quality of food at local pub was poor, but provided you are willing to go off in the car there are lots of interesting places and great beaches nearby.

Just had a lovely weekend away. The caravan was absolutely spotless and in a great location. 10 mins walk to the beach and the caravan was located just across from all the amenities. Kim the host was fantastic at communicating and very friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, Thanks Kim 😊

The apartment is very spacious for a one-bed and very well equipped. It’s clean and well located. The bedding is good and so are the beds. Close to local amenities, the beach and Filey town which is exquisite. There is a lovely outdoor space but only accessible from the bedroom which is a little strange. We had three nights for three people and it was perfect for this length of holiday. Suggestions: better pots and pans, more crockery options and some basic condiments and toiletries would have improved the stay. Towels were also small and not absorbent. Julie was reasonably responsive when we had some heating issues. All in all greta. We would certainly return to Julie’s place for a short summer holiday.

Fantastic place to stay, great location has everything you need and more. The only thing I would say is the main door downstairs to get in is quite tricky the key needs to be wiggled quite a bit to get it to open. A hard turn to the left gets it working once you know how. We loved our stay the home is gorgeous inside and couldn’t recommend staying here enough. We are already looking at dates to book to come back in a few months time

A lovely little cottage in a superb location. Beds were comfy and the children loved the snug. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as there is not much sound proofing to next door - the occupants had a dog that barked in the night. The actual lane is very quiet tho. We loved the back route to the Abbey from the garden. Charlotte was great at communicating and we loved our stay.

We’ve just got back from a wonderful stay in Deb’s beautiful house in Whitby. Deb was a fantastic host and was very helpful with some great recommendations. We had such a lovely time - would highly recommend!

We are just back from a fabulous stay at Cinder Croft. This is the perfect location to explore Whitby and the surrounding area. A very short walk into Whitby itself with all it has to offer and a beautiful base to come back to and enjoy the evening in the large sociable kitchen. The house is excellent with everything you need for the perfect stay. A well equipped kitchen making it easy to cook at home should you fancy a restful evening after a long day walking and exploring. Amy, Emily, and Amanda were excellent hosts, and the app for the house was incredibly helpful and informative. And the beds are really really comfortable, best we have ever had staying away from home!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The beach was only a 15 minute walk and then you could follow the walk into Whitby (45 minutes in total). We were lucky with the weather so it was blue skies and the perfect weather. We even saw a barn owl nearby! Highly recommend staying here, it was quiet and private and the cottage was beautiful.

Stayed here for 2 nights - perfect location for walkers looking to trek the coastal trails and great for dog lovers too
