Cabin on Big Creek near Hanging Rock/Dan River

The Cabin on Big Creek is a unique spot, private, with singing water on three sides. The creek is wide, accessible, kid-friendly. Queen bed and double futon. Minutes from HRSP, paddling, mountain biking. To be clear: this is a hybrid between comfort and “glamping.” No WiFi, no cable, no TV. The hot & cold water sink and shower are outside(water shut off in hard freeze, so no shower then but water supplied indoors). The toilet is an outhouse. Bedding is provided, bring your own towels.

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

This unique property is a rustic cabin with modern amenities--created from an 1880's tobacco barn. Relax with your coffee in one of the rocking chairs on the porch, or overlooking the property on the spacious deck. This property includes 16 acres with hiking trails that lead to a 1/2 acre pond. Fish the pond and have a picnic in the peaceful setting. You are close to many outdoor recreation areas including Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks and the Dan River.

Stony Knoll Vineyards Wine Lodge

A family heritage 1850 log home that was completely renovated in 2007. The front porch overlooks Stony Knoll vineyard grounds and tasting room which is across the street. This wine lodge consists of 1 full bath with a shower and jacuzzi, 1 double bed, 1 king bed and 1 single bed loft. A fully furnished kitchen for all meal prep. A full sized living room with fireplace and TV. Come and enjoy a glass of wine on the front porch or listen to the rain hit the country tin roof.

Whip-O-Will Cabin: Secluded Log Cabin Treehouse

Enjoy a secluded stay in our one of a kind, luxurious log cabin treehouse. The treehouse offers 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom on the main floor with a rock shower and the loft bedroom with a half bath. The treehouse has a full wrap around porch with jacuzzi tub overlooking a spring branch and fire pit. Enjoy the outdoor shower with a 16” rainfall shower head under the treehouse next to the spring branch. Our gravel road welcomes you to a cozy home in the trees.

Sunrise Cottage at Blueview Farm

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. You can enjoy the fire in the outdoor pavillion which is complete with an amazing indoor kitchen. Take a walk to the pond or just explore the fields and forest on the property. You will also enjoy seeing the wildlife and livestock. Just wait until you see the amazing sunrises that you will awake to here at Blueview Farm.

Located in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina near Historic Mt Airy, Pilot Mountain, Hanging Rock State Park and Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Green Cabin at Luna's Trail

The Green Cabin offers beautiful mountain views, spacious indoor areas, a pool table, and wood stove. It is located within a large crop of blueberries and blackberries, a plus during summer. Our restaurant is available Friday Lunch - Sunday Breakfast. There are sometimes large, private events downstairs. Please ask ahead if one may affect your visit.
