With a touch of Tolkien, relax in this story book home. Set high upon a dragonfly filled knoll overlooking a pond. Watch the birds, deer,and wild turkeys roam from out the large circular glass moon door. Step outside onto the veranda and take a dip in the wooden barrel hot tub. Stroll the 27-acrewoods and sip tea by the glass mosaic fireplace. Crawl into the cozy bednook and read a book written by JRR Tolkien. Enjoy the silence and the sounds of nature as you've found your fantasy getaway.

You'll have the entire ground floor, a two-room suite with large window views of Mt. Hood & the Columbia River. Windsurfers, kiters & sailboats zip across the river right below your hot tub & patio. The bedroom has a TV & comfortable queen bed. The TV room has a gas fireplace & 46-inch TV. Our food prep area has a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and fridge. It does not have a sink or stove. White Salmon is 3/4 mile away and Hood River is 10 min. away, directly across the river.

River trails right out the door for walking, fishing, kayaking. Great spot for foraging, wildlife sitings and star gazing. Furnished kitchen, BBQ on the deck, super comfy bed. The White Salmon River house is a beautiful paradise on the Wild and Scenic White Salmon River. The home is located on over 6 acres of private, mature forest along the river, just 15 minutes from White Salmon, WA. This secluded retreat is the perfect base for your rafting or Columbia River Gorge adventures. We both worked and met at the nearby rafting company, Wet Planet Whitewater. The yurt is a great place to disconnect and unwind in every season. We built it as a family and we’re excited to share it with you. Yurt has full kitchen, bath & laundry. Private road access, tucked in the back corner of our 5 acres. The hot tub is midway between our house and the yurt. It is solely yours to use during your visit. Please purchase Trip Insurance.
