It sits nestled in the trees with a beautiful view overlooking the secluded 14 acres. Enjoy fishing or kayaking on Prairie Creek. Trailer your SxS to the trails or ride from the cabin. It is about a 15 minute drive by SxS to either trail system from the cabin. We provide a map that shows the route we take from the cabin. Come enjoy the peace and beauty Mena offers.

Our goal was to create a space for the entire family. The History of our Cabin started as Hoss's Country Store where we provided a general store for our community and the guests visiting our beautiful area next to the National Forest. We have always felt that taking care of our family and friends were the top priority. Whispering Pines - Cabin by Shady Trails!

Enjoy this private retreat consisting of a brand-new cabin, sleeping 8 guests total. Cabin has vaulted ceilings, an open living/kitchen/dining area, and a private king bedroom with full bathroom downstairs. Upstairs is a loft bedroom with two queen beds along with two military grade cots with bedding and private half bath. Large deck with dining area, grilling space, heater. Fire pit areas plus setup for horseshoes. The south trail head is 3/10ths of a mile from the cabins!

The cabin has just undergone a $150k update to even please the most discriminating traveler seeking a “cabin in the woods” vacation.

Nichols Mountain ATV Hideaway

This 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house sits in the heart of the Ouachita National Forest just minutes from the Wolf Pen Gap ATV trails. You can ride straight to the trails from the driveway! It’s close to great hiking trails, swimming holes, and there’s plenty of space on the property to play cornhole and horseshoes. The deck has seating to enjoy the peace and quiet while watching for wildlife. This property is a perfect getaway place!

2 bedroom/2 bath, sleeps 9, Honey Hole Cabin

2 bedroom/2 bath two story cabin. Sleeps 9. The Honey Hole cabin located at Bear Bottom Cabins is our newly remodeled smaller cabin, the smaller of the two cabins. Located 1 mile from the North Trailhead for Wolf Pen Gap, no trailering to the trails. Far enough off the main road you won't be bothered by the dust. Located on Mack's Creek with creek access for cooling off after a long day of riding. At this time we do not allow pets.

Boggy Creek Cabin

Come unplug and relax at our cozy little cabin in the woods. The cabin was originally built, by hand, by our family almost 50 years ago. A few years ago, we had the chance to purchase the cabin again, and have fully remodeled it (all of the work was by those original builders!). It has become our rustic getaway with modern conveniences. We hope you love it as much as our family does!
