Unwind at this lakefront retreat. The cabin is very private and comfortable. It is an excellent spot for up to two adults to enjoy swimming, boating and sunsets. There are 2 SUP's, a double kayak, a single kayak,and lifejackets. No campfires unless the NS gov’t permits fires (website updated 2:00 daily). Note: The cabin is well insulated and is heated by wood stove alone. If interested in booking between Oct. and May you must be proficient using a wood stove. Please message if this is the case.

Birch Burn Retreat

Birch Burn Retreat, a former 19th-century church, offers a tranquil escape with forest walks, hammock relaxation and firepit nights. It has electricity, heat pump, wifi, and a simple kitchen with a mini fridge. Accommodations include double/queen beds for four adults or a larger family with camp cots. Essential facilities include portapotty, wash station, and fresh water. Dogs are welcome. Enjoy the secluded beauty of Birch Burn Retreat. Due to provincial ban, fires not allowed until ban lifted

This newly constructed Main Street cottage is steps away from all the main attractions, while also being set back from the road enough to give guests a private and tranquil place to retreat at the end of the day. We are just across the street from Saltbox Brewery, with a beautiful patio, frequent musical guests and visiting food trucks. My cottage is very modern and unique; it sits on a private 5 acre lot surrounded by woods overlooking Middle lake with stunning sunrises. The dock and canoe at the lake are available for use during the summer months but will be removed in October until spring. Ski Martock/Ontree, Bent Ridge Winery are within a 10min drive from Chalet Hamlet.
