A small, shallow private lake (no fishing or motorcraft) crystal clear water. Row boat is available. Several marked walking trails throughout the property. An ideal place for reflection and enjoying nature. You will be off the beaten path. To respect those looking for a natural retreat with lots of wildlife: No Pets, Children, Smoking, NO FISHING!

This quaint 2 BR cabin is perfect for Hockey families or a little UpNorth getaway. The Chattering Squirrel Coffee Café is on property. You can wake up & grab a coffee & homemade Breakfast sandwich without even getting in your car! It's walking distance to the Shops on Main St, Restaurants, Movie Theater, Mini-Golf, Crooked Lake Park & Beach. We're a short drive from the Twin Cities, Duluth & Eau Claire. The cabin has been completely renovated while keeping the original historic craftsmanship.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The Cabin is on the Yellow River , connected to Big/ Little Yellow lakes. River does not freeze over the winter and great for fishing and even Cold plunge if you dare! The cabin has a place to keep your boat so you don't have to take in and out of water. Great for snowmobiling as well! The cabin sleeps 4 people, Two queen size bunks beds, master king size and pull out couch. Full kitchen with all you need for cooking and Grilling.

The Cardinal Cabin

Our cozy cabin is located under tall pine trees on a beautiful, northern lake where loons and eagles frequent. Wood Lake is easily commutable - 80 miles from the Twin Cities. Swim and fish off the dock or pontoon during the day, and sit in front of the stone fireplace at night. The Cabin has been completely remodeled, with a modern kitchen and new furnishings. It is also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi with access to many streaming services. The Cardinal Cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat!

Yellow Lake is known as one of the best fishing lakes in Burnett County. Home to Northern, Muskie, Sturgeon and a variety of pan fish. The cabin is centrally located to all the area has to offer including; Atv/Utv/snowmobile trails, golf, casinos, and historical Forts Folle Avoine. Come and create memories!

Our favorite activities include: bonfires, swimming, kayaking, feeding fish off the dock, catching fish, and games indoor and out.
