Stable Cottage

Stable Cottage is a self contained spacious one bedroom stable conversion with a secure courtyard garden. You can also have access to our private 7 acre field. The village has a lovely dog friendly pub, an excellent local shop and butchers all within a 5 minute walk of the cottage. The village is located in the Wensum Valley, a well renowned beautiful chalk stream. The cottage has easy access to Norwich, 14 miles and is 35 minutes from the North Norfolk coast. Our picturesque cottage has French windows opening on to a private walled garden, ideal for young kids. Or al fresco dining. Sleeps four, it’s located within easy reach of the North Norfolk coast, Norwich and the Norfolk Broads. The cottage is also 10-15 minutes’ drive to Roarr Dinosaur Park, Pensthorpe, and The Brisley Bell (voted Norfolk’s best pub). Visitors love the cottage because it’s cosy (there’s a wood burner) and full of homely touches including a freshly baked loaf on your arrival.

The Lodge at Lyng Mill

Peaceful, rustic and romantic lodge in the grounds of an 18th century mill house on the river Wensum at Lyng Mill, North Norfolk. Swim in the river or light the wood burner, get back to nature in this cosy romantic setting. The Lodge sits in a wooded area underneath a giant red cedar tree. It is also on the banks of the mill pond, a perfect wild swimming spot with its own outdoor shower. It is bright and airy in summer but warm and cosy in the winter months. We love dogs, all welcome.

A must is a visit to the famous Norfolk Broads National Park.

Fully modernised with new kitchen/dining room, lounge and bathroom downstairs, with two bedrooms upstairs (main bedroom leading off bedroom at top of stairs - no door at top of stairs into small bedroom). Older cottage type so steep narrow stairs and low doorways. Suitable for couple or with one child. Free car park across the road. 30 minutes drive to north Norfolk coast, local to National Trust houses and lots of walking trails.

The Barn at The Old Ale House, pet friendly.

The Barn at The Old Ale House is completely separate from the main house, newly converted to accommodate just two people, with a mezzanine bedroom, open plan kitchen sitting room, and a modern shower room. The Barn has underfloor heating throughout, and private parking to the front along with a small private garden. Lyng is situated in the Wensum Valley close to a host of amenities riding stables,golf, fishing, the coast is within easy reach as is Norwich Dereham and Fakenham.

The Tin Train

The Tin Train is a lovingly hand-restored, stylish and cosy retreat, tucked into a rural garden, on a peaceful country lane. Just 20 minutes from the stunning North Norfolk coast, and with beautiful walks and country pubs all around, you can explore the local area before coming back to have a drink in your own private sun-trap or curled up on the sofa in front of the wood-burner. The Tin Train is perfect for a romantic couple's getaway or a tranquil break for one.

Our cosy property offers you privacy in our garden. Royal Norwich Golf Club 7 miles away. Fishing lakes are opposite. Lots of lovely villages nearby. About 45 mins to the coast, Norwich 25 mins and several National Trust properties nearby Elsing offers a church, woods and long countryside walks from the front door We are not suitable for young children.
