Permanently Anchored in the Knysna Lagoon, it’s a two minute dinghy ride from the Knysna Waterfront and we’ll give you lessons to get you going on the water. "Bird Song" is named after the host of bird calls that greet you each morning (and the night jars that you hear after dark). It is the perfect 'private bush camp' for a ‘family-of-4’ vacation or for a secluded ‘get-away-from-it-all retreat’ for couples. The architect designed timber structure is set on a slope with views through and over the fynbos and right at the edge of pristine Indigenous Forest. A wood fired fireplace ensures you are (relatively) warm in winter.

Welcome to Bridge Cottage and our home, Thornybush, on the edge of the forest. It is private and quiet. For runners and walkers there are 10kms of forest and fynbos paths to explore. Swim in the private natural river pool or relax on the deck and watch the birds. Thornybush is close to many excellent restaurants. The nearest beach is a 10 minute drive away, as are the bird and animal parks in the Crags and Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve is just up the road.

Our Garden Studio is on the ground floor onto our beautiful garden 5km west of Knynsa town. It is quiet and tranquil with all you need for a relaxing restful holiday or overnight stay. Within minutes you can walk to the lagoon or take short trip into town for dinner. We are situated just off the N2, well out of the main CBD which is why our beautiful suburb is so serene and peaceful. Sip cocktails on the patio and enjoy our lovely forested garden.
